Just thought you guys would find this story interesting.

So I am traveling to work today and the freeway I am on splits into two different freeways. So I am left with this ridiculously large opening(pretty rare in SoCal) as everyone is merging onto the other freeway. I had at least 2-3 miles of no one in front of me. So I decide to get a little more spirited with the car.. 65 boom 75 done 85 yep that’s feeling good 87... oh crap what’s that behind me!!!!

A motorcycle officer is pulling up even with me on the left of me.. Needless to say I start slowing down to around 70.
He keeps up with me all the while looking at me. I was waiting for him to motion me over. He keeps looking at the car and then I his speedometer. This was going on for quite some time. Then his hand raises and I thought for sure I was done in.. A speeding ticket on my brand new baby.. nooo! But instead he gives me a thumb up and then motions with his hand to slow down.. I was stunned!!! My heart rate just dropped 30 beats!!! thank you!!!

I guess there are still some pretty cool officers out there! whew..

yea there are some cool ones out there...go watch Super Troopers! :D

i unfortunately don't have anywhere near as much luck as some of you...when a cop pulls up behind me it's usually between $75-$95 out the pocket...that's why each time i see police in my rearview, i suffer a heart attack

I have had this happen to me once. I was on the 101 in the San Fernando Valley. It was late and nothing going on so I step it up a bit. I was cruising at like 95 mph and a highway patrol pulls up next to me. I saw him coming from a ways back and slowed down so now I was only going about 65 mph (speed limit at the time was 55 mph). He just pulls next to me and starts motioning to go forward. I thought he was tryin to pull me over so I put on my turn signal and he shook his head and pointed straight ahead again. He gives it a little more speed and slows back down. He was trying to see if I would race him. I just shook my head no and he pulled away and drove off ahead of me. Go figure. I thought I was getting a huge ticket for sure. I didn't go above 65 mph the rest of the way home to Thousand Oaks.
