Choppy 02-03-2004, 03:07 PM Hi everyone...
Happy to say after 3 months waiting that i finally got my sunlight silver 8.
I was driving it all day yesterday and put 300k on the clock :)
I took a day off from work for that eheh it was well worth it. Now im at the office and cant stop going down to check it out.
O.k going to take a look at the 8 again.
I will be sure to post some pics soon.
Regards
Phillip
timbo 02-03-2004, 05:36 PM For a while your jaw aches from the grin, but then those muscles soon get fit ;) :p :D
Choppy 02-03-2004, 06:16 PM I know what you mean.. i have run down to the parking about four/fives times to take a look at the car.
I was not happy it rained though here in Sydney got a few ugly acid rain black drops on the back bumber. Im going to take a towel everywhere i think to, give it a quick dry after it rains.
Regards
Phillip.
Now don't get paranoid about rain please, Choppy: it is only because it has rained in the last few months that I could afford to upgrade to an 8. (Guess my occupation.)
Just between you and me, don't tell Kev or L&L, they probably do look prettiest in silver. As 3 of our last 4 cars were silver I was told we needed a change, so got the closest colour.
Enjoy, jack.
pricer01 02-04-2004, 03:19 AM Welcome .... as a Titanium Gray owner, I guess we are kin!!
After 4 months (and 13000km) I still get a buzz from seeing the car ... but a bigger one from driving it!!
As for keeping it clean, I've found keeping it waxed makes it simple to wipe of marks with a moist chamois ...
Enjoy,
Rob
Choppy 02-04-2004, 07:01 AM I just got back have been cruzing it all night :) man what an amzing ride.. The cornering is far better than my girls 325i 2003 model BMW.
Its just great so happy with it. Im one of them people that expect to much but my Rx8 has proven that sometimes things get made the right way :)
Great and safe driving everyone :)

timbo 02-04-2004, 07:01 PM Hmm, I notice it doesn't have the very necessary Hymme grill… yet!
Choppy 02-04-2004, 09:00 PM timbo, Hymee's marketing buddy :) eheh
All in good time at the moment a few business related things to sort out then we will see about the grill :)

Choppy 02-05-2004, 02:40 PM Ageo looks great mate :)
Congrats i could not wait to pick up mine :) Im going to do alot of cruzing this weekend.. Not that i havent put 500k on the dial already but yeah :)
Regards
Phillip
Well i have to fly to melbourne to pick this 1 up then drive back so i will definately run break her in
Choppy 02-05-2004, 06:01 PM I was told by the sales guy/ head of mazda service department/ manual etc that she doesnt need breaking in really.. but dont have her cruzing to long at the same speed, avoid cruiz control etc.
But im sure everyone else would have there own opinions on everything they can share with you on breaking her in.
Regards
phillip
Hehe nah i meant (me) breaking her in, it already has a few k's on it.
But if you do by 1 brand new they have test run it so its already ran in for you.
Choppy 02-05-2004, 09:46 PM Ahh i get you..
You need a Hymee Grill kit? His site is going to be up real soon for national and international orders.
Regards
Phillip
Its very nice but i think my 8 has enough stuff on it, as you see on the pics it has alot of extras (air dam, side skirts etc..)
also it has a aftermarket exhaust system and the rims not sure if their 17 or 18inch.
so thats enough for me.
Choppy 02-08-2004, 09:12 PM The grill kit is for safty not to dame your coolers down below next to the road :)
Oh is it hehe didnt know just sounds like a mod. Well ill look into it.
Lock & Load 02-08-2004, 11:46 PM congrats , welcome to the ever rotating RX8 forum .
michael
takahashi 02-09-2004, 02:52 AM welcome on board... Ageo - do you buy the car in Melbourne to drive back to Sydney... very desperate - is it cheap?
$62000
But as u can see it has like around $10000 worth of extras, wheels, exhaust and factory extras side skirts, strakes, air dam, rear deflector, rotary symbols front & back and a few others.
it has 15000k's on it but for me to by brand new and get those extras which is basically what i wanted except for the wheels and exhaust (but now that ive seen it i like it) i cant find it anywhere to buy.
So to me its a good deal but also i need to goto melb for business also so kill 2 birds w/ 1 stone.
HKSpower 02-18-2004, 08:06 PM Ageo,
let me get this straight, you're gonna buy AMUSE ?
Choppy 02-18-2004, 08:29 PM Thats what it looks like HKSpower :)
he is going to buy AMUSE :)
no lol . I didnt go through that guy anyway found another 1 in QLD for $57000 with leather pack no extras. its got 17500km's on it. I thought it was a good deal instead of paying for a new 1 for around $68000 (on road).
Choppy 02-18-2004, 11:57 PM Ahh then i was wrong :) Sorry :)
