it's an RE-Amemiya, i'm sure it's functional...these types of wings are the current craze amongst japanese import racers in japan...here, only the fast and furious crowd would do that...

Look at WRX STi... that wing is crazy too.. but it's functional.

agree with mikeb, RE amemiya is the antithesis of rice. it may not be "tasteful" to some people cuz it's big, but criticizing a highly functional car product for its looks is kinda weird.

its functional, but how many of the people putting it on will actually be going 200mph?

on the rx7 forums, they aren't called out as rice... I guess we follow the Japanese manufacturers a little bit more... it's either you like it or don't... I guess RX-7 are more race oriented and the RX-8 crowd are geared toward everyone, families etc..etc.. I guess that's why the crowd is different here...

I don't understand how rice is determined on this board, but I DO see, japanese stickers, 20" chrome wheels, spray painted engine and interior parts, colored wire loom, gutter grills from home depot etc..etc..

I'm not here to flame anyone, just my views on the topic...

LOL.. nah.. I don't.. I have something similar, but it's the MazdaSpeed GT-C wing (not as big as the RE wing)... lots of people hate it and love the wingless look or like the 99spec, but I respect their comments since it never really turns out into a flame war... If my FD does not sell, i'm taking it off and getting some kind of lip type wing, who knows...

It's funny, coz the ricer's like my wing more than I do.. hate to admit (LMAO):D

no you have it all wrong my friend...spinners are for cooling your brakes...didn't you know that....why buy a slotted brake kit for $1200 when you can spend $2000-$4000 on some spinning fans that attach to your $12000 wheels....

Your are all right, if you are not tracking the car you don't need this piece. I do have to say RE Amemiya is no rice, they are the only shop that still race Rotary powered road base cars professionally (JGTC).

It is not pretty but it works.

This topic is pretty funny, I have a 95 Supra with the Supra wing (original stock) and its just funny cuz in my years, Ive always hated seeing other cars with it, like Honda civics, accords, even a god damn Neon

Made me sick to my stomach, nothing against the cars but i just wondered, why the hell would peopel would put a SUPRA WING on a car that is obviously not a supra..

I guess theres no laws to rice'ing..

the answer is obvious - to make it seem like a car it's clearly not...and i know exactly how you feel...i never had a supra but i always loved those wings on them...a year later every civic imitated the wing and it just looked horrendous on its econobox shape
