After taking feedback from both 7club and 8club here are the results. If there is a large consensus that things should change, I'll make adjustments accordingly. Post up all information/questions/comments in this thread!

The Bi-Weekly Irvine/OC meet!
After a 2 year hiatus the Irvine/OC meet is BACK! This time all of socal rx7club as well as socal rx8club are officially invited, as well as any other fellow car enthusiasts!

Where?
The District in Irvine @ Barranca Parkway and Jamboree. Specifically, near In N Out, see google maps link below for more details.

When?
Every first and third Sunday of the month at 8PM.

Why?
Meet fellow rotor heads and car enthusiasts alike. Goof around, grab a bite to eat, maybe some drinks for the older guys, from time to time. There will also be the occasional cruise or photoshoot before or afterwards, check out this thread for the latest details!

Who?
This is initially an RX8club and RX7club combined meet but any and all cars are invited!

RULES!
Absolutely none of the following will be tolerated (this section should be fairly self explanatory):
-Revving your motor (Really, just don't do it)
-Reckless/Fast driving (Peeling out, hxc drifto, etc)
-Illegal activities (underage drinking, smoking weed, etc)

Lastly, keeping a good vibe is crucial! Don't bring drama, keep it laid back :icon_tup::icon_tup::icon_tup:

There are currently zero regular meets in the OC (let alone the majority of Southern California as a whole), as far as I can tell and this meet seemed to generate a good amount of interest so I am taking the initiative to start it up again.

Currently open for suggestions but I am thinking The District would be an ideal place. Giant parking lots, as well as both high traffic and secluded areas, so we are no likely to get hassled. In N Out, Pinkberry, Chick-Fil-A, etc as well as some nicer places, if we ever feel so inclined.

Currently looking for feedback, please post which day of the week/time works for you.

I'm thinking 9PM every Thursday like the old Irvine/OC meet? As far as location, The District is a pretty large location. Perhaps someplace off to the side so we can be a bit secluded/draw less attention (such as in front of Whole Foods area?). Give input on the exact location within the marketplace... If at least a couple other guys are down, we can even start this week :D:

Lastly, I solemnly swear to not lose my keys and to make it on time to this meet. Especially the first one. ;)

I'm down for this Thursday if a few others are. The other OC meet gathered a good number of 8's then spread into 7club. Despite starting it, I only went to a few but those few I went to were pretty sick. FCs galore, some FDs, and a bunch of 8's!

Maybe it should be bi-weekly? Open to suggestions :)

I'll make an appearance when my car is out of the shop..What about that parking lot with In N Out, I liked that lot, it was big.

I think they ran into some problems with security and had to move? It died out soon after, I believe.

This place is down the street and seems a bit more laid back. The only bad news is there is only one route you can take in/out of the complex that has no speed bumps! lol

If Walter is coming all the way from Pasadena, everyone in between there and Irvine has no excuse! lol

its mostly MOCC but i think somedays they get a good turnout, its a pretty chill spot too

Definitely down for this meet. Its been at least a year since I've been to one.

I have a feeling that Irvine PD will give us a hard time for "loitering" in the district parking lot. We should still try though. But we may have to re-locate.

So far I am changing it to 8PM, every other week.

Wow, what is ironic is I will be taking night classes starting June 21st. Class is from 7-9:50pm, M-T. Maybe I'll try to switch the meet to Fri, Sat, or Sunday, just for my own sake :P
