This of course could include income, family, health, job, your country (where ever you live)
Really use all of the above to make your vote.

Seems like my "better off than 4 years ago" quote from the other thread incited you do ask. Good poll idea, though.

Financially, certainly, anyone in the stock market is 25% or more richer than one year ago. Bush tax cuts put a little extra in the coffer.

Personally, for one year, a little better off, all things considered. Still have a good job, fun car, healthy family, good friends, happiness. What more could you want? Better golf game, maybe.
Bigger fish. More free time.

Ask again after the election. :D

Having been laid off in September, and still not found another job, I have to vote "no". :(

That's a joke! This "supposed" tax cut did nothing for me this year. I paid EXACTLY the same taxes as last year.

Interesting info people may not know: The top 1% of income earners pay one third of all taxes (to support everyone else). This is where tax cuts are needed imo.

Lots of good data here:

Hmmm....I'd say I am because I have less credit card debt, a beautiful new car, I'm still at the same job (this is a record for me - haven't gotten bored yet!) and I answer to no one but myself. Hope things continue to be smooth sailing. :)

I agree. My taxes are not killing me. I am not one the the top 1%. So, although I would like a tax cut for more spendable cash, I do not need it. Everybody who bought an RX8 should be better off this year!:D

Not better off, sorry. Real estate prices in California are increasing at the rate of 20-30% per year; so I'm just that much further away from ever being able to afford to buy a house.

I just wish my income kept up with that kind of inflation. But hey, I'm a public school teacher, so all I can anticipate next year is (best case) make the same exact amount I did this year, or (realistically) a considerable pay cut, since our summer school program will likely be axe'd.

I wish our esteemed president would come up with a "No TEACHER Left Behind" Act!
