I'm in Knoxville, look for the Winning Blue one.... I can be found either in the Farragutt area, or up at school at UT. A meet would be cool, I would like to meet some of the other 8ers out and about in the area.

Cool Zum, Oak Ridge here! Yeah, a meeet would be good. I know the ETRSCCA will be having a show in Knoxville in April, but you need to be a member of the SCCA. Where did you get your 8? I got mine from Mazda Knoxville becausee tires/brakes program.

THERE IS SUPPOSED TO BE ABOUT 100 CARS GONNA RUN THE DRAGON THIS SUNDAY, MARCH 21. I MIGHT GO AND VIDEO IT, HAVE TO SAVE MY TIRES FOR AUTOCROSS, THOUGH.

I have to work this sunday. I wont have a chance to go till the first sunday in april.

Hope I'm not barging in but ... it would be great if you guys and gals could setup a Sat gathering at the Dragon after things warm up for us folks who are unfortunate enough not to live close enough to just go when we want, but close enough to make a day trip out of it!

I would image there are lots of people on the board that don't know how cool that drive is! I know I'm drying to do it in my "8".

Hey guys, haven't been on here in a while, I am seeing more and more 8's around town, I saw another blue one with a girl driving it the other day, had a new tag on the back, also I saw a girl with a red one on Parkside the other day by Wal-Mart. if everyone is still wanting to meet then let me know, The days are getting warmer and a meet sounds like fun

I for one will be at all the autocross events around here this year. I saw one person from this board that drives a black 8 at the Comcast event. If anyone wants to go to one, there's one here at the Oak Ridge Mall on Sunday, May 2nd at 10:00. Hope to see some of you there and maybe someone else in an 8 will compete in the event!!!!!!!!!!

Are there any Knoxville owners that would be interested in a get together?

How about getting a trip to ride the Dragon? Easter weekend is not good for me, but maybe in a couple of weeks?

Right now we are looking at at least 33 RX8's at the event with 200+ Rotary Vehicles all together. Come join the fun, autocross, drag racing, seminars and three meals are included with the basic registration ($60) and you can add premium features like a full 2.5 mile road course with included instruction!

Does anyone in Knoxville still want to meet or talk about our 8s?

I'm game. Can even meet up in my parking lot (Old Concord Post Office).

I think it could be pretty cool. I don't really see many rx8s driving around that much. I just got mine last week and so far, I've seen one blue, one black, one red and one silver--the red and the silver both had dealer plates.

Have any of you gotten together already in Knoxville?

Just let me know when most people can meet and I'll try to be there. Sundays work well for me too.

ok as I can see the East Tennessee people are still trying to get together.. so let me help.. anyone interested in getting together let me know.. we can set something up... in addition to that check out www.theclub.digitalinsomnia.cc it was started up in gainesville FL but since I am in TN I have started a TN section... check out the site and post in the TN section and we can get something together...... all the guys and girls in "THE CLUB" are great people, nothing illegal, nothing to get anyone in trouble and certain rules that everyone follows... just check it out and I think you will enjoy it.....

OK all you East Tennessee folks who want a get together. We have planned for Sept 10-12 a meet and "Dragon" run along with other activities. There is a thread on this site - search for "Dragon". Also info being compiled at www.mazdanow.com/dragon. You don't have to stay at the lodges to participate. We will have folks from all over the Southeast, so get involved - it's our back yard.

I would be all for gettting a local group of 8's together. I know there is a group of Miata drivers that get together once a month and do diner. Might be fun. ;)

Just a little FYI for those who don' t know. If you come through Knoxville (you Chatt. people for example) you get to make a Dragon run on the way to Robbinsville. It would allow you to make a slow preview run. Just a thought. I sure hope we get a big group together leaving out of K-town. ;)

Actually, the quickest way from Chatt-town is head toward Ocoee and take US-74E almost all the way Robbinsville :o Knox-town would have to come down 75 to Cleveland if you took that route :(

C'mon Tennessee!! Let's get EVEYONE to the Tail of the Dragon and meet. When will the opportunity arise again, to meet so many people from so many parts of the country, driving the same type of car as you do. We're going to great lengths to ensure this event is as enjoyable and entertaining as humanly possible.

Well I missed it, but I've been on the Dragon a bunch anyway. What a freakin trip. Just watch out for the Blount Co. Sherriff's dept. by the entrance by Chilhowee lake if you go that way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lenoir City. Just bought a 2004 Sunlight Sliver from a board member a couple weeks ago.We have always had muscle cars. Sold my 1969 AMX 2 seater a couple years back. Had a Datsun 260 Z car,years ago.Some of you "older" folks may remember when Lindsey Ward Stereo in Knoxville had their killer watt '55 Chevy. I sold them that car. We also have a '68 Camaro w/ a 871 blower, Enderle Birdcatcher-alcohol injection, tubbed,etc... Met my hubby street racing. I had one of the fastest muscle cars in this area. He's the first person to beat me. So I married him.
