I think it's a great idea. My company did a karting outing (after much lobbying by me) at Pat's Acres. We had the whole place to ourselves, got to do a qualifying session and then two races. I think it was 8 or more people to get the place to ourselves and it may have been $100 per person. Check out the site:

I think karting at like Traxx or Sykart would be awesome. I dunno about going on those track karts, lol, get an ass whoopin. But I think a go cart event would be fun!

There's a small chance I can make it tomorrow. I'll give you a call tomorrow afternoon if I can make it.

Next Thursday will be a Dick's night so I won't be able to make that, but maybe the following Thursday the 17th we can make a Sykart night so Faith and Firepower can hit the kart track. I'll put out some feelers.
