pdxhak 07-12-2010, 05:44 PM I guess 3rd?! HAHA but read that in the Pettic SC thread :D:
california style 07-13-2010, 03:20 AM OK I'll do a bit of a write up here too.
It was an awesome day, with Redline tagging it "35 cars, over 15,000HP!"
There was some fantastic cars there, (a few pics on this thread in another forum) http://www.s2forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=45010
My personal faves were the Fensport Celica, (a 650hp Time Attack car) and some lovely black Supras (one 850bhp the other 700+!).
There was a lovely little MX5 with about 400hp and some 888 toyos.
Also I liked a black Volvo 360, a real ghetto mod car, with terrible times etc, but all black, stripped out with tiny really fat wheels, it looked very cool.
Sprint times (which was all I was worried about) results were:
Fensport Celica (650HP Time Attack car)..........28.280 secs
Fensport Starlet (Sprint series race car)...........28.82
Pettit RX8 (meee! Ah yeah!)...........................28.97
Jam Sport Ford Focus RS MK2 (420hp)..............28.97
FD3 RX7............................................... .......29.61
Nissan 2010 R35 GT-R....................................29.68
Nissan R32 GT-R (550hp)...............................30.06
Ford Focus RS...............................................3 0.09
Audi S6 Avant (520hp)...................................30.28
Audi S5................................................ .........31.28
Renault Megane (234hp)...................................31.44
Audi Dialynx Quattro SWB (450hp).....................31.60
Evo V Jedamotorsport (345hp)...........................31.69
Evo I RS (300hp)........................................... 31.75
2010 Camaro .................................................3 1.94
Audi TT-RS (340hp).......................................32.0 6
Impreza P1 (RCM -562hp)..................................32.09
Volvo 360 .................................................. .... 32.24
BMW 335i .................................................. .....32.59
MX5 5-speed motorsport (400hp).........................32.78
FC RX7 (ex Sexy Knights D1 drift car)....................32.88
Honda Civic FN2 CPL Racing (supercharged)............32.90
Toyota AE86 Levin driven by pro drifter Luke Fink!!!.. 33.090
But he was awesome, doing donuts mid course, and finishing in the finish gate pointing backwards etc!
I loved the Mazdas there, and there was a bunch of cool people.
I really enjoyed chatting to Stav and Lee about rotary stuff, and to the guys from Fensport and Steve from 5-Speed (and got to ride in the MX5 too...It stopped on a dime!)
As I say the day was amazing, especially watching Luke Fink doing mad stuff on the handling circuit. he just orders the car to go where he wants. I missed out on a ride in the new GT-R which I wanted but the owner had shredded his tyres enough for one day, and at £400 per wheel, no surprises he wanted to save them!!
Anyway, I think I repped the 8 pretty well and hopefully people will take the car a bit more seriously in the UK now on the competition / track scene, etc
bulletproof21 07-13-2010, 11:21 AM Wow congratulations! Thanks for helping the 8's rep.
9krpmrx8 07-13-2010, 11:25 AM Nice, you beat up on some impressive cars.
california style 07-14-2010, 04:09 AM Thanks, yeah I was very impressed. I always said the 8 is a fantastic car once it has more power, and I think this helped prove it!
Roidz 07-14-2010, 03:54 PM Congrats man. Looks like you had an awesome run. Way to represent for your fellow 8 owners.
CTrx8 07-14-2010, 08:11 PM must....supercharge.....my.....8.....
rodjonathan 07-14-2010, 11:57 PM yup i always knew the 8 with a sc or turbo would beat most things out there
Rocketman1976 07-17-2010, 12:59 PM OK I'll do a bit of a write up here too.

Holy crap! You were not very far behind a 650 hp time attack car! And you beat the car with the big eyeballs next to it!
That's very impressive, great job.
california style 07-19-2010, 03:39 AM Thanks! In the UK the 8 hasn't caught on for sprint / auto X like in the US I don't think, and hopefully articles like this can help....
