you have to look to the classic email #53 "comic" (http://www.homestarrunner.com/sbemail53.html) for the origin of Teen Girl Squad. (click on "independant record store"... an indie band apparently called Hypocirtesuck, and Matt Chapman talk about their disk, with Sonic Youth in the background... cool stuff).

it's an interesting peek into Strong Bad's simple loathing for others, his stereotypical view of the world, and really crazy crap that he finds funny... it's not what actually happens which is the joke, but what it means: take "ARROWED!!" for example, it's Strong Bad's twisted take on a girl (The Ugly One) with "a crush on every boy" getting hit with all of Cupid's arrows... more than just some crazy bald guy killing a frizzy haired girl.
