"Once moved to a nearby nature preserve, the male specimen -- the largest whale ever recorded in Taiwan -- drew the attention of locals because of its large penis, measured at some five feet, the Taipei Times reported.

"More than 100 Tainan city residents, mostly men, have reportedly gone to see the corpse to 'experience' the size of its penis," the newspaper reported."

Ohhh, now I know why all these Taiwanese men keep coming to my house...

It didn't state whether there were any passersby on the street. Was that a rolled down window I saw on one of the cars? Would they total it out if you couldn't get rid of the smell?

That story reminded me of the now-legendary case of the Oregon Department of Transportation's ill-fated attempt to remove a 45-foot, 8-ton dead whale by means of a half-ton of dynamite. It was November, 1970, and the whole affair was captured by a local news crew, and immortalized some 20 years later when Dave Barry wrote an article about it.
