Long story short, insurance renewing time is coming and ... Geico kicked me out cuz they think Im "risky". fuck man I mean yea I got 3 accidents last year (within 3 month period), none of them were my fault and they know it. :( (cuz all of them ... I was the victim! like I want to get hit ? 2 times I actually stopped not even moving and I got hit ! WTF MAN !! and one of them I just got rear ended under HEAVY traffic ! WTF !?!?@!!?@!@$@#%@)^*#$)%*)

and 1 speeding ticket ... fucking gave me that shit near Williamsburg bridge where everyone drives at least 50mph ... I guess Cops hate car that looks better than their PoS Impala ...

Now I might have to take my 8 and 7 off my policy at least a year or 2 before I can insured them again ... or suck it up and pay 4K for 6 months (which I 99% won't)

It has something to do with all these garbage drives in NY who just don't fucking look when they drive ... god I hate NY so much now Im about to move to another state.

How old are you? Even if you're young enough for the "young drivers" charge, that seems ridiculously high. Is the location really that much more expensive?

that seems rediculous... why not just go with progressive and get a plan without collision? so you atleast have cmprehensive and wont get a bs ticket for no insurance

im 29, in a few months I will go 30 (getting old ... sob)

Complete history :

3 accident none of which were my fault and 1 speeding ticket of 16-20 over 30 mph zone in 2009(fuxking NYPD gave me that on highway/bridge, wtf man), 1 ticket of failed to use seatbelt in 2008(which that fuxking cop gave me for no reason again, I can't argue with him cuz Judge would never believe me. the cop said this ticket is better.), and a Failure to obey traffic device in 2006 (again, I DID stop at that stop sign near my home, cuz its a well known spot to have cops there, but that fuxking cop said I didn't stop, search my old post, what can I say ? see the reason why I hate NYPD so much ?)

I checked with Progressive, E-Surance. both cost about the same in the 4 K range for 1/2 year (fuck me), and other online quotes like StateFarm/Allstate/Travelers/CountryWide/etc all in the 5+ K range (which the site said might be lower if you talk to an agent, I haven't yet)

Im so fuxking pissed now, NYPD, NYS drivers. GOD DAMN YOU #$)*!@$()*!@)$*!@)#* * ~!!~!@@ @$()*!#R%)&(_%^U(T#WFJVG_Q#@$U%*#@(

A huge part of it has to be the fact that (I'm assuming) you're either a resident of new york city or a nearby area. I can't imagine that the entire state has those rates. A lot of things get factored in as well...

I got a copy of the report that Geico based their decisions on.

I looked at it, and it pisses me off even more.

Geico paid no more than 200 bux for all those 3 accidents COMBINE ! LOL ?

I spoke with an AllState Agent today, she told me that the speeding and seatbelt is not important at all, its one of the accident I got, which the insurance company paid out, and its not even a lot. So she told me its better for me to speak with Geico again first.

Which I did.

but the underwriter is not working on weekends, so gotta wait till Monday, even the guy over the phone(Geico) saids yea, it doesn't make sense to discontinue my coverage like that cuz I was with them for the past 5 yrs nothing major even happened. Just some bad ass luck to have 3 accident and 1 speeding in 2009 alone :(

So I just gotta wait till Monday and see what sup.

This totally blows.

P.S : Another reason for me to move outa NYS is that when my registration expires, I have to get shit like this

http://www.rx8club.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=155733&stc=1&d=1272763211

COME ON. WTF ? Is it my problem that they can't balance the budget ? they even admit this is for money reasons! GOD ! Hate NYS even more now.

3 tickets in a 5 year period makes an applicant ineligible for employment at my work. Depending on the state a no seatbelt ticket may or may not affect insurance rates.

The rest of what fucks him is living in or around NYC. Another thing that could be screwing him is his credit rating..

the lady at AllState told me the tickets were NOT the problem. They dont even consider Seatbelts to be a problem. For speeding, anything under 6 is still considered as minor. (everybody speeds I guess?)

and I dont even have to mention any tickets thats older than 3 yrs and 4 months (40 months), so the 2006 one she doesnt even cared.

the problem was one of the accident that I had.

Will hear back from Geico on Monday, lets see what they gonna say.

Spoke with Geico on Saturday night, was told that they will have someone from the underwriting department to call me back on Monday, waited 1/2 day, nothing. So I sent them an email to explain the whole matter, and I just got a reply :

We apologize, but since you have had a high amount of activity in a short period of time we will be unable to continue your policy. Our underwriting department has reviewed your policy and come to this decision. We are very sorry that we cannot offer you a policy at this time. This is due to the way we write insurance. We suggest that you seek another insurance company as soon as possible to be sure that you do not suffer a lapse of insurance.

Basically what they're trying to say is

SUCKS TO BE YOU ! YOU HAVE SUCH BAD LUCK THAT WE DON'T WANT UR BUSINESS ANYMORE! I DON'T EVEN NEED TO SPEAK TO YOU ! GO AWAY !

Wow ... fuck you Geico.

I already found a couple other companies (online & thru Agent) who are happily to get my business, sure it cost a bit more, but at least I should be able to keep driving without that hole burn thru my pocket.

again, FUCK YOU GEICO ! First you canceled my bro's policy for no reason. Now u kicked me out when u only paid like 200 bux in total over 5 yrs of my business. Hmm, Im going to tell my father to switch, fuck you Geico.

What if you just take one of the cars off the policy, the 7 or the 8?

And yeah, get off Geico. When I first got the car, they on-line quoted me $1800 over 6 months. I felt that was reasonable, considering it was my first car and I was 22. Then at the dealership, they quoted me over the phone $2200. Alright... sure... lemme think about it. Called back, next guy on their line said it somehow magically jumped to $2500.

Uhm. Yeah, no thanks. Went with Travelers for $1500 over 6 months, tyvm.

I checked all possible combination, and rate varies GREATLY

Leave the 7, the rate will decrease from 150 to 1100 bux ! Cuz some insurance company don't consider it to be a threat cuz Last year till now I drove no more than 200 miles on the 7. But some other company think that it has no Airbag and no ABS is a HUGE risk (morons, Im ok with Airbag part but I prefer cars with no ABS).

Leaving the 8, about the same for all company, from 400-1100

Leaving the FIT? well, rates will go down from 400-1100, about the same as the 8.

Im leaving Geico for sure, and will ask everybody that I know to leave them.

Im gonna go check with Travelers.

man i'd be paying 900 every 6 months if it wasn't for my freaking accident last year.. arghhh.. 22 and in nyc also!! ;[

state farm took away 2 discounts and jacked up the insurance a bit to 1,300 with the accident.

it was the loss of the two discounts (accident free and good driver) which gave me total of 40% off my premium that hurt me the most.. =/

drop the RX7 from your insurance for a year or so, the money you'll save on it will pay for your mods and then you can add it later.

No offense but I"m not all that surprised they dropped you. 3 accidents in 3 months = accident prone. It sucks but I understand why they'd do it. They think you're a liabilty and even though those accidents weren't YOUR fault, the next one could be.

I would never pay $8k a year for car insurance, that's ridiculous.
I live in SoCal which is about one of the WORST places to drive and my BMW + RX-8 are less every year (by a lot) then your two cars are for 6 months.
how much of the $4k is your 8 compared to your FC?

Yeah. USAA. Get a parent or spouse that is or was in the military and you qualify.

I live in the middle of Providence, and I'm paying $170 a month for nearly maxed out coverage on both my 8 and my wife's Mazda5, and it only goes up to $220 a month adding the Miata I am working on getting. 25-30 speeding tickets (I honestly can't remember them all any more) and several suspensions since I got my license 12 years ago, though none on public record any more, I had USAA the whole time and never dropped me, and I know that they keep some sort of private record on it.

Moving out of the city will help quite a bit, though FL isn't really a good option for cheaper insurance. Cars are cheaper there, probably because everyone drives out of the state every fall to make way for the hurricanes. My sister and her family had to leave FL after the 2004 hurricanes, because their homeowner's insurance dropped them after tripling the rates and the property taxes more than tripled. They were up to $22,000 a year in taxes and $12,000 a year on homeowners. They had to leave at that point. It probably didn't help that they also got dumped by their auto insurance the year prior and had to hunt for a replacement, after one of my brother in laws totaled one of their cars, a second was totaled 3 days later from someone running a stopsign, and 8 days after that the replacement car was totaled by a drunk driver who crashed into it while it was sitting in their driveway. None their fault their either, but they still got dropped.

Hell join and be a reserve or coast guard or w.e. Your only 30 and still got some life left. You only need to show usaa your member of the service and bam. Trust me its worth it.

But the easiest to is to find a woman that is in service. Its really easy and their really horny... :naughty: lol

If you want to know... I have my 8 and my 03 eclipse on my insurance. I'm only paying 780 every 6 months. I am also 21 years old...

But they give you big discounts for having more accounts with them. So I have like checking, savings, credit card, and investments. Plus they give me a rebate check at the end of the year if I had nothing to claim and its normally higher than my taxes :)

Edit:

And also say you drive your 7 less than 1000 miles a year... well you probably be paying like $10 extra a month for full coverage on it... USAA knows if you have a decent amount of vehicles for yourself chances are your not driving them all at once.

I'm sorry, I have to agreee.

Accidents can happen, even multiple at no fault.

But add speeding tickets seat bealt.

Just maybe just maybe you drive too fast hit the brakes hard and cause others to hit you.

Look at the statistics. Your a big fat risk.

If you had zero tickets you would be much better off.

The speed is causing everyone to raise their eyebrows and raise the red flag.

Plus don't forget you are bending over because you are not 30 yet. That 30 number plays a big part.

I pay 762 per 6 months for my 2006 RX-8 for state minimum requirements and $1000 deductibles for collision (w/ glass) and comprehensive.

the speeding/seatbelt was NOT the problem.

the Problem was that I had some shit luck to have 3 accidents within that 2 month period, she said if the accident happen say once every 3 months thats still fine, but 3 accidents within 2 months means = you got bad luck = They can't insured me :(

Yeah I have no desire to live in NY and own a car. If I was to live there I would walk everywhere and live in Manhattan.

where do you work that is so strict?

I work for a school system in the transportation division. Something people don't realize until it hits them is everything affects your job these days... Hell even the most basic jobs are doing credit checks and DMV checks. Especially if you handle money or need to use a company vehicle.

Once I realized this I cleaned up my act. At one point I got a letter from the state saying one more point and I would lose my license for a YEAR.

Now I have a zero point record and plan to keep it that way if I can. It not only saves me money on insurance but it keeps my job.

Now excuse me while I go bash my head with a block of wood.

Anyway, found another company, just thinking is it worth the extra cost to keep the 7.

What insurance you getting?

You can try this...

Setup a UPS mailbox in PA with mail forwarding or somewhere that has cheap insurance rates.

Go to the DMV switch your address on your registration and ID to that mailbox.

Make a FAKE bill (TV, CONED, LANDLINE PHONE) and go to any insurance with that information and bam you got super fucking cheap insurance. I heard like $400 a year

Been thinking about doing this for along-time.....think im gonna do it when i get my new ride.

I just did quote a few weeks ago with my normal address and got $1700 for 6 months 23, NY, 1 accident(not my fault), 1 following too close, Defensive driving class and i got a cbr600 which is not part of it but i get the multi-discount.

Reading that, I was going to make a comment on fraud and all that. Find a legal way to do it, not faking up a bill or something.

But I did realize that I now have a legal address in no-where NC, my mother in law transfered the title to a house and land deed to my wife and I last year. I could register our cars down there legally. We pay less property tax on that land every year than we pay in the "vehicle use tax" Providence RI hits us with ($1,300 a year at the moment).

I think I will do this. Insurance won't really change, since they ask for both the registration state as well as the 'zip code the car is parked in at night', but then my insurance is cheap anyway. Gonna investigate what NC does for cars...

Yea dude, it is fraud.....but the insurance company are full of fraud and fail!

I'm taking the risk of getting into an accident -- The insurance company finding out and im shit ass outta luck with having to pay for everything.

You could also do jail-time? dunno but thats the risk you take when you do it. I'm not saying im GONNA do it im saying i was thinking about doing it when i get my new ride......
