Hi guys,
I am supposed to pick up my new car on Saturday, and I am excited about that! The part I am scared about is the fact that the RX-8 is such a specialty car. I have a Subaru SVX as well, and finding someone to work on it was a hassle until I moved here to Washington. What dealerships would you recommend that I visit for service, and what dealerships should I stay away from?
Talk to you guys soon,
Syd
P.S. When are we going to get together for a cruise!?

Congrats,
Don't worry so much. Put your mind at ease there are some good dealerships and mechanics in the Pacific NW for rotaries. Enjoy the car. You are in good company and now that you found the forum you will be kept abreast of everything.

I agree with the other posters. There's plenty of rotary expertise in the greater Seattle/Tacoma area. As people get their cars serviced, the good and bad places will be exposed here on the forum.
You can always search the Northwest section of the RX-7 forum. (www.rx7club.com). The folks there are years of experience with places working on their RX-7 rotaries.
Don't worry and go enjoy your car.:)

Ouch! Are you hard of hearing? I know people speak up when they can't hear so maybe you can't see to good or something. Please don't yell, we are all excited for him.

I'm down for a run any time. Of course, there's a run scheduled next sunday as well, with the RX7s, but a run is a run in my opinion.

No Pistons,
You've had some time to drive the car now any chance you can wipe that perma-grin off yet? Let us know how you like her.

The car is awesome. I didn;t think I would find anything else on wheels I could be this passionate about after my SVX but I have. It is intersting, exciting to look at and a decent drive. Would like alittle more power...but truthfully, at the end of the day when I have to park it, I'm disappointed. Not becasue I made it home safely, but becasue I can't listen to that "angry swarm of hornet" sound that makes itself hear when I get close to the redline buzzer.

I love that "Oops, not enough steering input -- oh well -- throttle -- all better" feeling. And of course, there's no better therapy than 9K of RPM therapy.
