Well the RX-8 is officially gone. I picked up an Aspen White 05 STi today. It will suit my needs a little better than the 8. It was fun while it lasted. The 8 is a great car and I will miss it for sure.

Thanks for all the good times 8 club. I learned a ton about the 8 and couldn't have done it without all the knowledgeable folks here.

Now, someone buy my wheels! :D:

I honestly didn't pay attention. The 3k spool sounds about right.

Sad to see you go... Your new ride looks good, not my style, but im not gonna be rude either :) It looks good, I cant see myself having anything else but a Rotary, unless I needed something to haul (Truck). Grats man... Bet it feels good to have torque...

Though I have a hatred towards Subaru.
My wife has owned two subaru legacys and they were both the worst cars I have ever driven. Told her she can never buy another Subaru.

It comes down to needs. The evo and wrx are the best cars to get for AWD for those who want a sporty feel and power to the wheels and need AWD for all year round. I was contemplating a wrx before the 8 but I wanted a coupe, not a 4 door even if the 8 is an illusion of a 2 door. I wanted a sports car instead of something that felt sporty.

If I was in their shoes and had kids, I probably would get the wrx. Things change, priorities change, taste change. Nothing wrong with wanting to try a different car/model/brand in life.
