Hey any meets or shows scheduled for Kitchener area this summer or relatively close? would like to see other members rides.

ok guys lets organize a kitchener meet. whats best for you gus? weekend or weeknight and any suggestions where. i am a little limited due to my wifes screwed up work schedule (continental shift). i think im free next weekend and next wednesday or thursday night

I will be there. Although on the way home from work last evening my checkengine light came on and i did not have full power especially in the higher RPMs. I am going to check it out on Sunday at work. I will be bringing an IDS scan tool on May 8th if anyone wants to run a selftest on there 8 or perform a reprogram. I am a technician for Ford and our scan tool just so happens to work on Mazda! so i've been seeing a couple 8s here in the kw area since i moved here 2 weeks ago...

1) victoria/westmount area at night -- sunlight silver... like mine... driven by a younger guy pumping beats i think
2) union/king around the sunlife building -- velocity red driven by a blonde girl i think... i almost think you did a peace sign to me but i was too slow on the draw to return the wave
3) an 09 galaxy grey that works at manulife! :) an older gentleman i think..

I saw a SS completely stock except for clear corners... I waved to him and then we stopped and had dinner together. The dude even showed me around town hahaha

It would not be my 8 outside of Sushi's. I am not a real fan of seafood. Mine is blue and completly stock except for blue liscence plate covers. I will be seen more likely onthe southwest side of kitchener or Cambridge area.

ok lets try for next weekend. Yes the weather really sucks. Although we cant complain its been pretty damn good so far this spring. I have logged about 4000kms so far on my 8 this spring.

Ok WDS. I can probably meet next week. I will post. I am going to be in the waterloo area anyways to see a friend and I want to stop by the Waterloo dealer and see if the parts department is open on today. i need a couuple more oil filters and a touch up paint stick. The previous owner wasnt the best at parking lots lot location choices. I know the dealer in Stratford is open Saturday but not sure about Waterloo. Im still going to the meet in case someone does show up since I started this thread and would like to keep meets a regular occurrance. I will try to update original post this afternoon. I am new at this form and whole computer thing so bare with me. Seeyou next week, I think.:fingersx:

Here are a couple of forum pointers on posting Meeting Threads

1) - http://www.rx8club.com/showthread.php?t=73658 - basically it says "threads announcing or discussing events MUST have the location, ie city, listed in the subject line"

- I don't know if Gord is even still on the Forum but his first post is good advice

2) - Threads that you create make you the OP so you may see posts in your Thread were ppl reference the OP --- that's you

3) - For meeting threads its also nice to have the Place, Time, Date, Map data in first post. That way people don't have to skim through the entire thread to see updated information on the meet. Special note: Do not put the time and date in the Title of the THREAD. Only Forum Moderators can change this information so it becomes a real PITA if the thread title if fucked. This is why you put info that may require changing later in the first post section.

Hope this helps a little.

Oh and one more thing.....

Try and hit the return key after ending a sentence where it seems like breaking the text apart is appropriate.

Reading a big block of text is hard on the eyes for old bastards like me.

The meet went well. I got to meet a couple cool guys. But the wind was so bad nvx could hardly open his drivers door to get out. Shaojie has more mods done to his car than michael jackson does to his face. I dont think i will be able to meet this weekend due to my wifes crazy work scheduoe. I will be busy shuttling my two kids around.

Any pics? Would love for all the 8s in Ontario to get together for an annual meet...but it would be hell to coordinate...

Nice, good to hear the turn out wasn't too bad.
