Just wonderng if anyone would mind sharing close to what they pay per month/every 6 months/ or yearly. I would like to get an idea so i can know what i have to be up against. I am 18 with a clean record :D . Been driving since I was 16, im not the best driver but i have seen a hell of alot worse lol but ive been complimented plenty of times on my driving. But yes whoever doesnt mind quoting please post.

Not that it will help much (since I'm 31 married, and been driving for over 15 years) but when I added the 8 to my policy, it increased by $290/6mo. Oh one more thing, there are three cars on my policy...

If you look at things "relatively" however, its much cheaper than other cars. At 18, I doubt you'll get as good a rate as me at my age, but the insurance is likely to be cheaper than on some other sports cars.

i will do a search, just thought i could get some fresh ideas. $290 for 6 months is awesome. I hope its cheaper because it is a 4 door lol. I'll go search and thanks for the time.

In the Uk the RX8 is in insurance group 14 and 16

That's my guess... Cheaper because of the four doors. Again, I doubt you'll get that kind of rate (when I was 18 I paid $2000/year for a brand new, at the time, Geo Storm), but maybe it's not too far off from some of the less exciting "sporty" type cars that are around.... Good luck.:)

Mine went down by $300 every six months when I bought my 8 to about $225. But I am married as well and my wife and I get a discount for having our homeowners policy with the same insurerer. We are also have USAA which you or a direct relative needs to be in or retired from the military or a Federal Agency in order to qualify for it. We also have an Audi A4 on the same policy.

The reason for the drop: I traded in my M3 on it.

250 a month for my moms ride and the brand new rx8..sounds sweet to me.
