I am trying to install the new LED parking lights I just got. The driver's side is pretty easy and straight forward.. and the passenger side removing the ECU cover is easy enough EXCEPT one part that is driving me crazy. How the h*ll do you remove the wire from the back and the same sort of clip with the wire attached to the front of the cover. I have circled it in the picture. Any info or tips on how to get these little buggers out of there would be greatly appreciated because I am about ready to just break it to get them off! :banghead:

Greg, I don't know when I will be next off the top of my head. I do need to swing up there and have some stuff looked at, so maybe sooner than later. It is definitely a tight fit! I tried yesterday for about an hour and had no luck getting the cover off nor figuring out how to get my hands down in there even if I did get it off. I'll let you know when I can swing up. How was the meet last night? So bummed I couldn't get out of work for it.

needle nose pliers. its kinda like a V shaped clip. it goes in and you can pull it out unless you push the sides inward.
or what i normally do is apply a bit of tension upward. grab a small flat head and push one side in (enough so that side lifts up) and keep tension on it while pushing the other side out.

Is really tricky but all u need is tolerance and some needle nose pliers. Tape the LEDs or something to keep them tie cuz they will go loose by them self.

they're like a zip tie except that on one side there is a release tab that you can insert a very small, thin flat blade screwdriver into and it will let the loop out to remove the harness from. When you are done just put the harness back in place and slip the loop back in. It will lock back into place just like a zip tie.
the problem in general is that the factory often installs them so the side with the release tab is facing the wrong way where it's difficult to reach and release it properly.
EDIT: this is to release the harness from the loop, not remove the entire clip from the chassis, which is explained above

Thanks for the advice guys. I managed to get them swapped out today. Ended up just pulling the wheel off so I could peel the wheel well back to get my hand up through that way. :uh:
