This is an opportunity for complete novice drivers to be trained and obtain a Motorsport Association Licence to compete in what has up to now been considered a male dominated sport.
Initially, 2400 successful applicants will be invited to driver assessments at a local race circuit to test their strengths, nerve and stamina as well as driving skills. From this, 16 finalists will undertake further training to ensure they are prepared to compete in the Mazda RX-8 Formula Woman Championship which will take place at race circuits throughout the UK. Each car and driver will be fully sponsored and a substantial prize fund will also be announced in Spring 2003.
