Wheels magazine have chosen the RX8 as the winner for the famous car of the year award here in Australia .

The RX8 beat a large field of cars over a 3 days testing process .

The front cover of wheels magazine featured a yellow rx8 and over 13 pictures also featuring the yellow RX8.

To my suprise my eldest son has suprised me by making a cartoon to commemorate the event.

I knew when I first pre-ordered my RX 8 that it would win awards not only down here in Australia but around the world...what a gr8 car!!

Has anyone compiled a comprehensive list of awards the 8 has garnered so far? There are still some to be announced in the next couple of months, but there are several firsts and runners-up in the record books. It might be interesting to create a site which lists all car and engine awards that can be added to as more come in.
