This is the city of the Superbowl. I don't even like football and I am going to watch it just because it is here. Then again what time does the autocross start and what time is the game? eccles 01-25-2004, 02:25 AM Originally posted by DrKillJoY maps are up for the event...Gee, let me guess... a Roger (the real) Johnson design? :p tpryor 01-25-2004, 07:49 AM Originally posted by eccles Gee, let me guess... a Roger (the real) Johnson design? :p HOW in the world could you have EVER guessed that <grin>? No matter who's name is on the map, you can bet Roger had a hand in "tweaking" it. Although, by the looks of it, David (my primary competitor) did come up with a "start/stop" kind of configuration that should favor the Boxster over the RX-8, but I'm intending to make him work for it......... The last run (52.7), I had Cody in the car for some real world comparison, and I tried to show off at the end of the slalom (#3 corner station on the map), and overshot the corner, coming almost to a stop. The last cone was at a crest, so the car was VERY light at full throttle (since the first cone) trying to get stopped, but I can reiterate that the RX-8 has TERRIFIC brakes. VERY technical course, but fun. All the Houston RX-8's should come out and play. Typically, events are the first Sunday of every month, but check the website to be sure (houscca.com). |
