I like it better than the winning blue. I'd order that color it were available! Anyone know the name of the color?

They are calling it "Mutant Blue". As far as I know it won't be available for production. There is talk of more options later in the production run however so you never know.

It's one of those 'flip-flop' colors. The highlights change with the light source. The color change is too burple (blue+purple) for me.

I would have loved the deeper blue on the X car.

I went to see it at the LA Auto Show and I thought the color was gorgeous! I did wonder how "burple" :) it would look out in the natural sunlight though. I also really liked the silver/black leather interior in it too. It would've been real temping to order that color combo if they had offered it!

I think the interior looks terrific. It would look simply awesome with the darker colors (titanium, Black, even the silver). Some of the exterior treatents are slick too.

I do wish the winning blue was darker - I'll have to see it in person to make a final determination.

Personally, from what I can tell so far, I like the "Winning Blue". (well, I did order an RX-8 in that color) I was hoping for a shade of blue that wasn't too dark, as I think a mid-tone shows off the body contours better, and can be seen more easily.

"Winning blue" reminds me of a color I saw on a Porsche 911 SC at an autoshow in the early eighties. Gorgeous, on that car anyway.
