HOLY SHIITE MUSLIMS! I just installed CanZoomers Stage I

I must admit I thought the other guys were exaggerating about this mod, but damn! it really packs a punch! The install was not painfull at all (but I broke the wire clips) and when he says the ECU cover will be snug........well, lets just say this was the hardest part of the install. Anyway got it all done, reset the ECU (steering wheel all the way to the left and right) and took it for a spin and headed to AutoBahn 5 (READ NO SPEED LIMIT) with a Sh*& eating grin on my face. Never had a chance to check it out in 2nd or 3rd in town, but 1st got stomped on twice and I was grinnin like the devil himself!

Ok, Made it to the on ramp and waited till a huge break in traffic so I could start out from 0 and move it on through. I thought 1st was good before, but when I slammed second, I thought I was in HEAVEN! The pull in the high Rs is way beyond VTEC. It was truly amazing in 2nd, and well 3rd 4th and 5th! I took her up to a solid 130 MPH and held it a bit before I backed off (my snow tires are H-rated as I mentioned before so I didn't wanna push the limit too much). Anyway, long story short, EVERYONE, save your $$ and get this thing! I would have paid twice as much if I knew it felt this good.

Next is the Borla, and K&N typhoon (I expect them in about 2 weeks) so more to write then.

How much? What is the supposed power/torque diff?

Man, 463 posts, and you don't know the price of the famous CANZOOMER's Mod?

You really must stay home more.

Isn't yours the imported US spec car though?

I've heard less than encouraging reports on the Australian forums, and the Euro spec cars are closer to theirs than the US. I'd really like to see it checked out on a E-spec by a professional tunner, before importing any US mods.

That's a wise decision, Dave.

Canzoomer knew what Mazda did to "detune" the North American cars, and hence had an idea how to get the lost power back.

Cars in one market may indeed be tuned differently from the factory, so I agree that it would be best for an E-spec tuner to develop a solution that they know works on the cars there.

That said, since I'm in the US, the mod he developed is a nice solution.

Where did you order the canzoomer stage 1?

The Canzoomer is no longer available or desirable. There are many much better ways to tune the car available today. Look at the dates of the previous posts.

nice 5 year bump on an outdated/useless product
if you really want it, its supposed to be a emanage in disguise

I just don't understand why Canzoomer stopped selling these... it was a great option before the Cobb AP and the Interceptor X came out..

Even the Emanage Blue or Ultimate are better than it. The Canzoomer, once it was found that you could only tune in the open loop mode, was abandoned. It was a good in it's day. There are just more options available today that are more robust.

The problem I see with the with the canzoomer is the same as the emanage. The car will eventually relearn the maps and you must continously tune the car. The idea of the inteceptor-x is it works as a true stand alone, the idea seems to work.
