I had my MINI Cooper for 2 years and almost every other MINI I passed would wave or flash their lights.

I've had my RX8 for a whole week now and haven't seen any other 8s on the road.

Do you acknowledge other RX8'ers??

I would if I ever see one. It's been 3 months since I got mine, haven't even seen any other rotary powered car, let alone an RX8.

I have, but so far most of the drivers I see here are confused by it :P

don't see any other 8's. wait no i passed 1 2 weeks ago and beeped and it was dark so i couldnt see if he responded.

I also don't see other 8's on the road... but I would if I did :) .

I haven't seen another RX-8 on the road either. I do get nice comments from drivers of other vehicles though.

I honked and waved at a black 8 yesterday as I went by him- it was the first one I've seen all winter. Some people in Cincinnati must have put theirs away for the season - I saw more of them in the fall.

OK, for some stupid reason, when I replied to this post, it showed me logged as BLH2004, and not my own user ID. Strange !!! I've deleted the cookie off my computer, and logged back in as me. Stupid machines, always scewing something up.

Has happened to many people. Including myself. Deleting the cookies should fix it.

I still haven't seen another RX8 and its been 1.5 months!

Saw one while I was test driving mine but haven't seen any in the 2.5 months of ownership.

I live in So. Cali - Orange Country area..... And I see about 2-5 week

I wave at every rotary car I see when I am driving the 8 or 7. We are all in this thing together as I see it.

I flashed some girls in an RX8, but a cop saw and pulled me over.

I'm one of two 8s at work. We each bought it the same day (7/25) from different dealers and didn't know each other before then. Small world... Since then I've seen about 5 others here in Raleigh.

I've only had my 8 for a little over 2 weeks, but I have seen only one other on the road so far and he was in the opposite lane on the highway.

I thought I had the only one. Kidding of course...

I always give/get the courtesy wave/flash from 8's.

I live in Los Angeles and got my RX-8 on New Year's eve. I've went for 3 weeks without seeing another 8 on the road, until a couple of days ago when I saw 3 of them at the DMV. Aside of that, I always flash/rev/honk/wave other rotaries.

I have yet to see another one on the road, except for Doccable's car when we've gotten together.

Been back from deployment since Sep and have only seen two - one in a parking lot and another on the far opposite side of the road in San Diego during a business trip. Kind of tough to beep/flash one if you never see one... :(

I will say it's nice to have a new Carrera pull alongside then up then gradually go all the way back then up again to take in a full view of the car. It was pretty flattering (esp. since I'm still $30k in the black in comparison). :)

starting to see lots of 8's in sf. I dont see too many while on the road, but starting to see a lot parked outdoors when I'm driving. I always try to invite new owners to the forum but putting a note or something.

i usually wave but they ignore me so I proceed by speeding up in front of them to give them a taste of my GReddy Exhaust woot woot!

8 drivers get a blast of the 7's Flash-to-Pass lights :D

i've seen only one velocity red rx-8 but i was walking around town.

Hey! I finally saw one on Saturday. First one in my area and first anywhere since my Sept. trip to Destin, FL.

A beautiful thang. Red just like mine. The girl driving it wasn't that bad looking either. I flashed & waved, she smiled and stroked her hair, ammused. No wave back, so I was not very happy with her self. Oh well... :(:confused:

I have seen about 4 or 5 in the past few months... I usually wave and give a toot! Not one person has seen or acknowledged back. People need to WAKE up when driving the "8". Also, they have all been men so far (maybe thats why...?). I wish I had seen a young female cuz it would love at first sight!

I tried to flash other RX8 drivers but it's real difficult to shift, undo my zipper, steer and gawk at the other car while keeping an eye out for cops..
