19" Wheels/Tires installed!

I'm pretty excited, I just finished installing my new wheels/tires on my 8. I work for a custom auto trim shop and have access to good deals.

I got 19" Motegi DPK's in chrome. Don't laugh, they look great! these aren't ghetto, their racing style wheels, but in a chrome finish. It's a brand new wheel from American Racing Motegi and isn't even on their websight yet. I was told my my rep that I received the first set off the boat out of California.

It's a five bar wheel with a 3 piece appearance and really looks great in chrome. And get this, the Mazda center caps snapped right in! How rare is that? If someone didn't know better, they'd think they were Mazda wheels! When I get pics I'll post them. I used Toyo Proxes T1-S 245/35/19 tires. the wheels are 19x8 front and rear with a +40 offset, they fit perfectly.

I took it for a spin (up to 101 mph) and it felt great, just a bit stiffer ride.

Yes, that is it, were did you get the pic? I have pictured it their 2004 catalog, but I haven't seen it online yet.

The dome center cap size is a perfect match to the Mazda center caps. I'm considering getting the rotary center caps now.

No pics yet, I've gotta use the digital camera at work. Hopfully tomorrow. I all the time I've been selling/installing aftermarket wheels I've never had center caps match in size. Pretty cool...

Na, the weather here really sucks and so does the lighting in my garage. I just had my how built last year and I wish I would've had better lights put in the garage. Next sunny day, I'll back it out and snap some pics.

I have had those in pre production form in Hyper Black since August. I got them from Motegi since they sponsor my vehicles, They were on my RX-8 at the Nopi Nationals in the 2Fast.com tent. That wheel was originally designed as a RO_JA wheel. I have a set of the new 6 spoke riveted rims in the garage as well. Motegi really has some great rims coming out this year, I have looked at the entire line up and they are all pretty sweet. I can't wait to see them in chrome on your car I'm sure that they will look tight!

Yeah I'm really happy with the way they look. It was a pleasant suprise when the Mazda center caps just snapped right in! When i post pics, I'll get some close-ups too. Motegi's new wheel line-up looks good this year, and they're tough to beat for the money.

You asked for more pics of the wheels...

Here's the pre-production picture.

Close up at NOPI Nationals last September.

Leaving NOPI. And yes the Eclipse is on a trailer, but SHOWOFF drove the 8, and my dad trailered the Eclipse b/c I had to fly cause I couldn't get off work at my new job. They are both daily drivers.

Well, while I'm pimpin' Motegi...here is the Eclipse parked in their booth.

I really like those wheels. I think they are the best looking wheels I've seen for the 8. I wonder how deep in my pocket I would have to dig?

Well, I got a hell of a deal because I sell wheels for the trim shop I work for. The wheels ran me $850 to the door, and the tires ran me $800 to the door. $1650 for chrome 19's with the rubber is not a bad deal at all. The wheels normally retail for $265 each plus any shipping charges.

Pics coming soon!

Well, I'm having trouble posting my pics. I'm new to the "digital picture thing" and I'm having trouble posting the pics because they're file size is too big. They are jpg. files. What the hell do I do?
