KW varient 3 settings?
Ok --finally bit the bullet and got a fairly decent street/track coilovers.
I had been running the konis with aftermarket springs.
dannobre has given me some settings he has been using and that is much appreciated. but, I thought I would ask others also
I like the rake i had with the konis.
i dont want to hit the bumpstops.
I run a 275/35/18 wheel/tire and have rb bars and endlinks.
???

Can't answer your question, but am interested in the responses you get. I have wanted these for quite some time now and haven't bit the bullet, so I'll be watching this.
At least it's a free bump to keep it active!
Anybody............Bueller............Bueller?????

I also have the KW varient 3 coilovers and use my car for both street and road courses. I run the progress tech sway bars with the middle setting on the front and the firm setting on the rear. I also run 275/35/18 r-comp tires at the track.
I would suggest you lower the car approximately 1" and then get it corner balanced. For the Compression and rebound use the recommended setting from KW and adjust it from there ( I always firm everything up 1 turn for the track) because with all suspension settings, what works for one person may not work for someone else. Also, I dont have cables to attatch to top of the rear strut, so I can not adjust the rebound in the rear. I believe I have it .5 turns past the recommended setting.
I am pretty sure with a 1" drop and the recommended setting, you wont hit the bumpstops.
Good luck and if you dont already adjust your alignment I would suggest you get an alignment kit and play with it at the track.

thanks highway--- i hear ya---been running good alignments for a long time. The shop has my settings on a "special file" lol .
Corner balancing will be just a little later after it all has settled.
I was surprised that the sways end links had stiffened some--front and rear.
suspension is installed and it feels SO much better than the konis and tein h's
basically kept the same rake as i had. approx 1 " drop on the front and about 1/2to 3/4 in the rear. recommended rebound and compression at present.
its a new world and I already had too much to do.

OD - since yours were used, like mine, did it settle after install? I was planning to have the install, corner balance and track alignment all on Monday. Also what initial setting do you recommend? I want to go more aggressive than KWs because I want to get set up for my first track event in a month. Thanks.
Got mine installed with most of ODs settings and it seems very good. I have a question though:
Anyone with KW3s and the separate resevoirs? I could not figure out how to adjust the bump settings on my rear dampers, which have the resevoirs. There is an allen headed screw in the end cover of the resevoirs, but it backs all the way out, so I don't think it is for setting a valve.
My fronts are the newer kind with no resevoir and I was able to adjust those. Thanks for any help someone can offer.

From the center of the hub to the corner of my fender directly above is 13.75 front and 13 rear. It seems to vary somewhat, but this is an approximation. Interestingly, the height adjusters on my rear coils are all the way at the bottom, which would indicate the rear is as low as it can go. That seems strange to me, but i don't want to go lower anyway.
Highway8, are your rear height adjusters at the bottom?
