Not bad but that does not include the monitor though! I'd go for it!

But its not the flat screen monitor. Dell is dumping all of their CRTs. Pay the extra for the flat screen. (MHO)

hehe, thanks, that was more me thinking outloud and being lazy. Not bad...
we're looking for two gaming machines for this spring when World of Warcraft hits. Too bad I don't have money to spend right now, because that might work nicely.

i have an nvidia geforce 4400 which is becoming antiquated but still does the job. also i just got a tv tuner card which is great for watching/recording cable tv which you can then burn to dvd or watch later from your hard drive. it can also burn on the fly if HD space is low.

My cost for a boxed 2.4 P4 533FSB is 175.13 and Windows XP Home 89.87. Add 60.00 for RAM and that’s 325.00 Say I buy the cheapest case/MB/FDD/CD combo for 100.00 that puts my at 425.00. Add 75.00 for a HDD and that’s 500.00 at my cost.
And that doesn't include assembly and other losses. Throw in 15 minutes of tech support and even with Dells huge buying volume they are looking at a loss of $150-$200 each.
Amazing!

I guess it's a loss leader...which explains why it was only a one-day deal...
