Why RX8 and not 370Z - Convince Me...
Hi, I had an '04 RX8 and really liked it a lot. I have a BMW 335i right now that will be coming off lease in a few months. Considering a bunch of cars, but please give me some reasons I should get an RX8 R3 and not a 370Z.
Really just looking for thoughts here. Thanks.

Because the *** end of a 370Z looks better, behind the wheel of a RX8? If you just drive and don't play it really doesn't matter what car you have. 3 guys at my job (the higher ups) have Ferraris and I dont think any of them have ever taken the cars over 80 more then 3-4 times.
It's just a bling thing

JK, You can make anything fast, but ugly doesn't heal.
Well one looks good, not a lot of people have, handles like a beast, and doesn't have pistons. Hell, I would just get an R3 for the damn rims. They're freaking sick. Me want!! If you're looking for speed, HP, torque.. Go with the 370Z.
Either you fall in love with rotaries or you don't.
Do you miss it? The whine, the smooth hum and velvety power climb to redline, the balance and feel, do you miss it?

Sorry for going out of theme but I could not ignore this post. I personally believe that the 8 looks better, has more space, it has unique engineering (not always a good thing but at least you can differentiate yourself), and it sounds way better than the 370z. For some reason I think that the 370z sounds like NISSAN forgot something
Not a dumb thread, he's looking for input from owners of a specific car. Often times on test drives kinks and issues don't reveal themselves that some may see later on.
If you value tunability, a large aftermarket, more power/better times, get the Z.
If you wish for a smooth power band, to be a bit *different*, or to feel a direct connection to the car/road that the Z most likely won't be able to translate, get the 8. The 8 will be much easier to drive fast, but in the end, a slower car - keep that in mind.

the OP doesn't sound like he "NEEDS" the 2 extra seat.
just get the damn 370Z! you won't regret it. until later when u rly need the 2 extra seats and can't own a 2seater for whatever reason...
don't get me wrong, i love the RX-8 for what it is. and its rotary engine...
its like the S2K i've always wanted...with extra weight and too many seats!
but pass on 350Z. a family member owns one... it sucks! wish the 370Z came out sooner.
