Just got quoted $978.60 for comprehensive cover with suncorp metway which included use of aftermarket performance ecu.
I have a rating one and live in Albury.
GREAT price I think. Got official quote
over net on their web site with official reference number.

That covers insurance.
Now how long does it take to remove(not switch off) canzoomers ecu for service or warranty purposes?

Should take 1-2 hours depending on how fast you can work. Look up the thread on the install in Canzoomers place.

I doubt it would take you over a half hour.

Granted, I have experience with it, but I can install/unistall complete in 15 minutes with one socket and a screwdriver and a pair of pliers.

That's a steal for insurance. Take it! I thought I got a good price insuring mine for $1300. BTW, my premium hasn't changed as a result of my 'mods' either.

My car is with SM as well. And my SS was too. They allowed a certian number of "mods" without increasing the premium. My '8 is also around the 1K mark.

Cheers,
Hymee.

Don't breed teenagers!

AS part of my farm insurance policy, Wesfarmers Fed. Ins. saw fit to double the premium (to about $1600) when learning that a P plater and L driver are regular drivers. Our 8 is, after all, the family hack. For some unknown reason, our daughters prefer to drive the 8 rather than the Nissan Patrol ute.

$1300 for AAMI.

They allow 3 mods. ANY 3 mods. The problem is body kit is one and wheels is the other. Add exhaust ... then you are done - otherwise, Just car insurance - mod the hell out of it - they will individually quote you
