got a 04 rx_8 and just hit 130k today, only problems i have had in this time period has been a failed fuel pump at about 100k other than that its been pretty nice, any suggestions for preventative maintenace and also is it too late for Force induction.

Congrats. I'm at 102k. Wondering if I should go ahead and replace the fuel pump. LIke you, I haven't had any issue.

^ Who really knows when it'll go out, but its around that time. It won't be a big deal, you'll probably just get vapor locked on a hot day, and then know its time to replace the fuel pump lol.

Its always great to hear of high mileage without problems. I've seen a few that had even higher with no major issues; external things like AC compressors and alternators.

Mine has 51K and hope to see 151K one day.

Has the power fallen off much?

yeah i have had since new and yes power is definetly not the same as it use to be, especially here in texas where its super hot.. Hot days i dont really have much passing speed if i have been driving for more than an hour and then it makes this grinding noise if i get on it...lol just hard to keep the thing cool down here, but when its nice and cool here it drives like a dream
