While changing engine oil in the RX-8 and waiting for the oil to drain, I decided to fire up my relatively new PS3 and connect to PlayStation Home to see what that was all about.


Well, I did manage to create an avatar. Found out a camera is provided for personal inventory. Here's snapshot in the virtual mall ... blue mohawk, beard, and unibrow FTW:

After roaming around a bit, I ended back in my virtual studio apartment. The stupid software didn't allow me to throw the furniture over the balcony so I piled everything up in the corner.

You can customize to some extent: body shape, face, skin, hair, etc. If you're REALLY into this, you can purchase costumes/clothes in the virtual stores. I guess they have to make money to justify this virtual environment of theirs.

I wanted a shape resembling a bowling ball, but no go :(
