I had imagined I would see more pictures from the North American International Auto Show this year. There were alot last year so I thought there would be even more this year. So, when I went on Friday I took my camera and thought I would post some up. I forget some of the names and sorry if some pictures are bad. I am in no way a proffesional. I just would like to share.

Edit: HaHa... I never look in General Automotive very much. That is why I haven't seen many NAIAS threads. Sorry if this is in the wrong section or redundant. I just checked and almost everything in the section has to do with it. Sorry, my bad.

Nice job man. I think I spotted Matt's Stradale Challenge! ;) That son of a gun always gets the center of attention.

Thanks for the pics! Especially of the White Legacy <drools>. What did you think of the Legacy in person?

The McLaren is actually the upcoming $500k Mercedes Benz SLR (http://caranddriver.com/article.asp?section_id=19&article_id=7700) super car. The McLaren logo is because the car will be developed in cooperation between MB and McLaren. in a plant run by McLaren.

The legacy looked really good for a legacy. My girlfriend had one from the early nineties. When I told her I wanted to check it out she told me "Thats my car... why would you want to see that?" But the special edition does a whole lot for the car. Its real nice. Thanks for the complements all. I'm glad you like.

The Sling Shot looks like a cheezy RX-8 meets 350Z meets Mini Cooper. (YACK)

The new Eclipse is a total poor-taste 350Z ripoff.

I actually like the look of the new Scion. It's about time they came out with something semi-normal. I know that the "height wagons" are all the rage in Japan, but so is scat.

I can't understand the Sling shot. I know its soposed to be eco-friendly, but it is also soposed to be a sports car and sports cars don't have 10 second 0 - 60 times. Now the eclipse on the other hand... I don't really care for the looks of it, but it has two engines for a total of around 400 horsepower. It has a regular V6 (i think) in the front, then an electric motor in the rear. The rear engine kicks in during shift points and at low torque points giving a flatter power band and better accleration times. I thought that was kinda cool.

edit: Oh, and the head and tail lights of the eclipse have cool electostatic sparks running up and down them. You can' t see it in pictures (believe me, I tried to get some pics but after a bunch of attempts with nothing to show for it I gave up) but in person it looks really nice.
