As some of you know i totalled my car mid Dec. well this baby replaced my 8 has alot more power and the handling is great i'll try posting more pics. The mods i have bought so far are rally armor black mud flaps next will be tint then performance :)

Yeah I have a thread of I totalled my car on free way. I just have to find insurance for this car now.

Depends I pay 250 a month for my 8 but that's just cuzz I'm only 19 and already had quite a few tickets not trying to sound like a hardass i wish i wasn't a retarded driver when i got my license lol

Yeah I payed $200 for my 8 I'm 21 now I was under my parents insurance. So I'm hoping it's the same for the evo or cheaper would be cool.

Just for reference, before you buy it, simply get the VIN from the car you want, call your insurance agent, and they will be able to tell you exactly what you'll pay.

I wouldnt worry too much about the insurance unless you are a teenager or have lots of tickets. I bought a C5 Vette at 23 or 24 and everyone was like "ooooh that must kill you on insurance!" "insurance must be as much as your payment!"
It was actually a couple dollars cheaper than on the 03 Tiburon I traded in on it. :scratchhe

My insurance was closed so I couldn't get my info to get quotes. And the reason I ds it us because I got it new years eve if I would have waited for Jan. 1st I would hav paid more for the car because taxes when up for 2010.

I had an 06 auto so I can't really compare w the manual rx8. The evo is alot faster and handles better, has the same mpg as the rx8, but it makes up for it with it's power. Oh one more thing the fuel tank is smaller than the 8's.And let's not forget the recaro seats man they hugg you so nice :)

im guessing you have an 08 evo?

heres the main differences of the 08 and 2010 evo since people have kept asking me. the rear tail lights have a black bacground wich looks alot better than just all red, second the early 08 models had hesitation at higher rpms some say that the 2010 comes from factory w more hp dont know if its true or if its just a better tune or both? and the center display is color instaed of red. And the 2010 has bluetooth mounted buttons on the steering wheel and the cup holder has a cover.

im also waiting for my warranty to be over so i can add performance parts. From what i've read and been told is that mitsubishi will try to void your warranty any chance they get, even an intake will void your warranty. I have also read that a mitsu rep. checks the cars on warranty wrk even the tires! well atleast i can add up my parts in the mean time and put them all together and then tune just once.

If it ends up being absolute HELL, what I would suggest is buying a motorcycle (cheap as dirt ones all over the place) put that down as your daily driver and put the car down for (whatever their term for weekend racer is)
Brought my insurance from (full coverage 200 deductable) $350 for just the car to $120 for both per month. I do actually daily my motorcycle though. *shrugs* lol
They also "limit" the mileage to 7,000miles per year, but if you read the fine print on the form they send you. If you don't submit the mileage they cannot alter your rates LOL.
Just an idea saves me crazy amounts of money on gas too!, but you have to daily the motorcycle to get that haha.

Statefarm wanted to charge me $450 a month! :( and the General wouldn't insure me so I'm going w wawanisa wich charges $150 a month.
