JTtheDude 12-31-2009, 11:06 AM I'll only miss Family Guy guess I'll have to catch it on HULU if they drop. The new ones anyway, I see plenty of reruns on TBS.
ZumnRx8 12-31-2009, 11:12 AM I dont watch football either... *LAKERS are on my KCAL channel* :yesnod:
I do however like the NEWS on FOX... i watch it religously every morning at 8 and every night at 10. Other than that... I only watch men channels like SPIKE, TLC, USA, TBS, you know... men channels...
Im watching FOX news right now!!!! We might make a switch to DISH... but is TWC going to provided us any additional channels?
zoom44 12-31-2009, 11:16 AM mmeehh they will settle for somewhere around 50 cents a customer and all of this drama will go away. of course if i was one of them i'd stop negotiating just out of spite for that letter from Sen Kerry. And i don't mean that in a partisan political way I just don't like it when politicians hint at threats like that.
ZumnRx8 12-31-2009, 11:37 AM ^LOL, true.... Im in southern California.. And the main things I will miss about FOX is .....Jillian Barberie and Lauren Sancez :yumyum:

JTtheDude 12-31-2009, 11:43 AM I think it will all go away too and they will come to an agreement at the last minute. TWC tried this before with MTV, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon and a few more channels. They reported that the channels would be dropped and they never were. FOX is too big for them to drop it, if they do and lose customers to other TV providers, in the end is it really worth it? No
nycgps 12-31-2009, 03:49 PM I dont miss Fox at all.
most of their shows are garbage. news are so into republicans. so no.
kersh4w 12-31-2009, 04:16 PM fuck fox.
i never watch them anyway.
Alexb 12-31-2009, 04:29 PM I'd miss them. family guy and house. Plus, every other news station is liberal. They are conservative. I watch both so I get all the stories :)
TWC is RICH AS FUCK. They need to get over and think about their viewers.
alnielsen 12-31-2009, 04:36 PM I have Direct TV and they are having a fight with Comcast at the moment over the Verses network. We haven't had that since, it think it was, September.
ZumnRx8 12-31-2009, 05:58 PM Alex b+1
Jedi54 12-31-2009, 06:47 PM I would severely miss fox only because two of my favorite shows are on their network.
- 24 (best. show. ever.)
- Nip Tuck is on FX and my GF and I watch that from time to time.
I could care less about football and every other useless show on their networks.
Though I must agree with Zumn; their news girls are smoking hawt and have been for some time. (though I never watch morning news any more)
Mazurfer 12-31-2009, 07:07 PM Well, I have Brighthouse which is also involved in this dispute.
I for one would miss FOX because they carry all the NFC football games in my area, and I'm an NFC football fan.
I also do watch House from time to time. He's such a smart ass!
Oh....and there is an ambulance chaser in Orlando that has filed suit/injunction as he is a huge Gator fan and won't be able to see the Sugar Bowl. Guess the District judge kicked it up to the Fed court where upon it was kicked back........so who knows???????
Rote8 12-31-2009, 07:38 PM My aim is improving.
Marklar 12-31-2009, 08:19 PM I'm with TW on this one. The networks have seen ad revenues drop due to competition from cable, so they want to jack up rates the cable companies pay to carry network TV to make up the difference.
Screw 'em. These days cable channels are offering as good or better programming than the networks and offer more choices to boot. No sympathy for the networks on my part, if they want better rates then they need to figure out how to make better shows.
The networks spent the last 30 years ignoring cable competition, and now they suddenly want the cable companies to subsidize them when they realize that the markets have changed to the cable companies' advantage. Again, screw them, if they can't compete in drawing viewers then they can just shrivel up and die, it's not up to the cable companies to subsidize their inability to compete.
The networks used to have the best programming, then cable channels offered better. Then the networks jumped on the reality programming bandwagon and made a boatload of cash. Now every cable channel has a reality program, often better than the networks can dream of (think of Deadliest Catch). Now the networks have nowhere else to turn, and want the cable companies to pay them more to carry network programming to make up the difference.
Again, screw 'em. Compete or die.
EDIT: I was a TW customer when I lived in Louisiana, now I'm with AT&T (better than Comcast, believe me).
8 Maniac 12-31-2009, 10:59 PM Time Warner needs to stop being greedy fucks. They already have no intent to improve service, at least keep it on par.
I regularly watch glee and house. Glee is definitely a good show. The actual solving of cases on house is getting kind of cheesy bit the rest is still interesting
CTrx8 01-03-2010, 01:43 PM cablevision here in the NE has dropped food network and HGTV as of friday in a similar (albeit smaller) dispute....my wife is not happy :(
kersh4w 01-03-2010, 02:20 PM omg.
i would be pissed about that.
cause i think rachel ray is hot as hell.
my mom was interviewed and one of the houses she designed was exhibited for one of the shows on HGTV a few years back.
Grungepup 01-03-2010, 09:54 PM I can see where Fox is coming from on this... but as a customer, if they cannot provide the service I want then I will not be a customer of theirs much longer.
8 Maniac 01-04-2010, 01:03 AM They reached an agreement as expected
