I just had a bad case of winter blue. My battery was dead after I came back from vacation for 3 weeks. I got battery jump but it blown two fuses. I had to tow the car to dealer to have it replaced. After I got my car back, I realize my stereo is on and all display is up but just no sound.

I don't know if this has been disucssed in the past but couldn't search that. My dealer doesn't have a clue why it happen. I read other Mazada forum on diffent car which has something to do with the relay.

Does anyone has similar experience, ie, stereo on but no sound? BTW, mine is a 04 GT

Are you sure the fuses have been changed check them for yourself. There is also a fuse near the bose box in the trunk, under the rear deck in addition to the fuses under the hood & by your left foot.

I have not check the fuse box in the trunk..is there any picture on how to access that box? If the fuse is blown, will the stereo still turned on? Becasue I can change channel, load/unload CD and all other features but just no sound.

From what I have read here the fuse is on the unit itself. looking in the trunk in would be in the middle of the read deck.
