I've stored my 8 for the winter at my uncles house... unfortunately he flooded the engine by stopping the engine cold... its all good gotta do lots of stuff on the car in the spring anyways. I also shot it with rust preventative even if its stored in a heated garage.

Post some comments on how you store your 8 and what worked best for you in the past. Pics are always recommended :biggthump

Mine is stored in a barn that has been renovated. If you are storing it no need to get it sprayed since no salt is getting on it.
Not much to say other than it's sitting there until spring.

I'm storing mine in my friends backyard with a car cover and a blue tarp over that! But one thing I would like to ask is when I turn my car on the tire pressure light comes on I know y it does that but is there anything that can keep the tire pressure even!

Have the air in your tires replaced with nitrogen.

i still need to put stabil in the tank and take out my battery... really lazy

my poor baby is sitting on a sheet of plastic in my garage all tucked in with her car cover. had her serviced and detailed prior to storage, pumped up the tires to max sidewall pressure, filled up the tank and pulled the battery.

Now i get to drive my 2002 Ford Fucus untill May :(

Oh well what ever it takes to keep my 8 happy and rust free!!!!

I've driven mine 2 winters in a row and have the rust to prove it!

But I store my other car, I just disconnect the negative terminal on the battery, block the tires (don't put the hand brake on - so it doesn't seize the brakes), and the gas tank near empty.

I'll start the car maybe once every month, or every other month to keep things circulated, drop a liter of new gas in before it runs dry

Mine just out last Saturday let the mods begin, new exhaust, speed-bleeders, syncro savers, new console, fogs and plugs, coils, wire just for a start. If the wife knew!

Still in the subject, I'm planning to turn on the beauty every week for 5-10 minutes, just to let the liquids flow a bit and because of the battery. Do you guys think it's enough so that the battery won't run out of power? The RX-8 sits on a indoor garage, temperature around 20-22 degrees.

I wouldn't run it for 5-10 minutes every week but I would hook up a battery tender to keep the battery up. Also, add some stabilizer to the fuel tank then fill the tank.
