this is automotive other than the rx8, so here goes.

the rim is a 14x6.5

i told him some sexy ass tires would be about 215/50/14. however the only thing we can find near those sizes are autocross tires. 205/55, 205/50, 195/50, 215/55, 225/50, etc. if you know a good tire that is relatively inexpensive, please post it. we are looking for the >$100/tire range. if its $110-120, just post it anyway.

we are looking at falken azenis rt-615 and falken ziex 912s, but as i said, sizing issues. please let me know what you have!

Hankook Ventus V12 Evo K110. You can get them cheap and C&D and a german auto mag loved them.

I want to try them on my 8. I am sure they'd be an improvement over my Kumho ECSTA SPTs.

all one needs is some glue!

and he is kind of broke. his tires are so bad he understeered, then oversteered around a 15mph standard intersection left hand turn. in the dry they arent terrible, but in the wet its down right scary. and i believe he has about 3 different brands of tires on his car.

he would have changed them before. but he crashed, due to the tires. and that took his money to repair it. but, it does seem like he will just have to get some unsexy 195/60s or something.

Try TireRack.com surveys. How about the Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Positions? Great reviews and pretty cheap at $68/tire for 195/60/14.

if he cant get something sexy like 215/50, which is proving impossible. he'll go with a falken ziex in a 195/60.
