I removed my front bumper emblem only to find THREE little holes in the bumper that I wasn't expecting. I was hoping to just remove and wax it and be done but now I have a dilemma.....spend $300 to have bumper removed and repainted and reinstalled (plus rental car expenses for 2 days)

OR -- I was thinking about just replacing the emblem but painting it either a pearl black or the same brilliant black as the car (cheap fix for now until I decide to pay the $$ later)

what do you guys think about this? I just hate the huge chrome emblem on the front bumper like it was stock but rather spend my extra money right now on tinting windows, etc. not repainting the front bumper-- its only a week old.....

if your going to debadge in the end..i wouldn't waste your money on painting the badges....i'd put it back on and suck it up until you have funding to have the bumper filled and painted...that's what I would do.....

yea me too...don't take the cheap way out... you'll end up wasting time and money... save up a lil cash and do it right the first time...

I wish you would have searched this site before removing the emblem. Their is tons of info on those holes being behind the emblem

THANKS a bunch!! Yes, I WISH I'd found out about the posts underneath BEFORE-hand. AT least I know about the ones on the back now. I did a search for debadging but I realize now that it was on the mazdarotaryclub website and not here.

Hey, were it me, I'd paint it for now with spray paint, then do it right down the road a bit and have the holes filled/painted. This way you only spend a few bucks for the spray paint, and it'll drive you less nuts than the chrome emblem till you get the debadging done. Just my 2 cents.
