the GTI is a mean lil' bugger as well... get it chipped and those things have just as much HP as Torque... not sure how they go around corners... but they're speedy lil' basterds. :)

Looking into which chip I want now. So much HP and tourque gain for so little money... definitely different than the 8 in that respect. Doesn't handle like an 8, not even close but I love the seats and the DSG auto tranny. Car is also very tight and has a great ride. Got the 4 door model, so it's even practical :)

Hopefully will get out for dim sum but do have to travel to Buffalo on Sunday. If i miss you guys, I will get us together for a night in the HT :)

^ Mine beats them all, a 2004 Vibe with automatic. Zero to Sixty in about 12 seconds, what piece of crap and to boot it has torque steer! figure that!

I was at JRP today. For $530, the cost of a modified chip, I can add 50 HP and 60 pounds of tourque!!! I'll probably have that chip installed before I go home from the dealership... LOL

None of you guys can talk. Alll of you have beaters with more than 100 hp. Lemme know when someone gets a beater that has less than 90 hp and my Protege and I will talk. :)

i think this is the year for winter beaters set up a track day at TMP they allow you to go play on the track when its covered in snow. scott you have a impressive fleet of cars anyone of us would be proud. why did you get the dsg over the manual?

^ DSG is really cool with paddle shifting and sport mode (always keeps RPM in power band). I can actually out-run manual with this because of the speed of the shifts. Besides, I've never really liked the feel of a VW manual (clutch and gear box) -- one of the reasons I have always bought japanese. But this dsg is the shitz...
