The Hydrogen car uses regular gas and keeps a spare Hydrogen tank in the trunk (boot). One thing I have not seen discussed though: http://www.vidicom-tv.com/hindenburg/images/1.jpg "Oh the Humanity!" zoom44 01-14-2004, 02:46 PM oh it has too been discussed. search my posts for hydrogen and hindenburg and you'l see. go educate yourself;) MEGAREDS 01-14-2004, 03:55 PM I meant discussed in the Mazda materials on the car... I'd expect we'd discuss it. We discuss everything. ;) (Actually -- in fairness to Mazda -- they've discussed it too, but you have to read between the lines. Look at all the hydrogen sensors they've built into the car and the "gas tight" trunk - it's a problem, and I really hope they work it out). RonD-NM 01-14-2004, 05:11 PM From what I understand is the flames will go strait up in the air and does not give off allot of heat. So it is still much safer then a gasoline fire. Replace the tank and trunk. MEGAREDS 01-14-2004, 07:19 PM Originally posted by RonD-NM From what I understand is the flames will go strait up in the air and does not give off allot of heat. That's consistent with the latest Hindenburg theory... that it burned principally because of the materials used in its skin, not because of the H. zoom44 01-14-2004, 08:39 PM yeah so why would you want to bottle it up in a "gas tight" trunk instead of just letting it evaporate? RonD-NM 01-14-2004, 11:03 PM I agree you could have some kind of shield that ports the flame out the back. God help the car behind you. Ha Ha... RonD-NM 01-14-2004, 11:04 PM Sorry LOL |
