What to get??

Its time for new tires. I just replaced tires last year about the same time with Yokohoma AES1000. They were very good performance wise but the treadwear is pathetic. And after only about 15K miles there is no tread left. I have decided to go with something with better treadwear with in a budget. I have narrowed down to few choices and cant decide which one. Please guys vote for the one you think is the best. I live in Raleigh NC, so no problem with snow. Just wet and dry traction is needed.

Here is the shortlist

1. Kumho Ecsta ASX * UTQG: Treadwear: 420

2. Goodyear Eagle GT * UTQG: Treadwear: 400

3. General Exclaim UHP * UTQG: Treadwear: 380

4. BFGoodrich g-Force Sport * UTQG: Treadwear: 340

Please guys vote for the ones you think is the best. I really need opinions from the users. Appreciate your help.

that's a high tread rating.
have you looked at the Kumho SPT? There's a few guys here that run them and I hear very good things.

245/40 is a very common upgrade for the RX-8, it fits perfectly on the OEM wheel and some prefer the added width.
I ran two sets of tires with this size and loved it. (Kumho MX and Toyo T1R)

As far as the speedo being off, it will be fast by 1%. ie; when it shows 60 mph, you're actually doing 59.4
Here's a great website for that type of stuff: http://miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html
