Basically this guy does a launch at the rev limiter and then drops the clutch at 8k after he was done feathering the clutch at 9k rpm.

Say goodbye to his transmission and clutch

you are right thats to high,.... i usually go from 5.5k to 6k rpm when ever i raced on a track of course...

if he can get traction from that high of an rpm he is on some sort of fat *** race tires.

also, brettus (?) has commented that he believes this video is fake. done on jack stands.

But that's what I thought, if you launch THAT high you would get no traction... unless he has fatass tires like you said Kersh4w.

there's also no shudder that would likely travel through the wheel on takeoff. i don't buy it.

and if thats the case it would be turbocharged. and if it was turbocharged we would hear it.

btw, its pretty damn easy to just turn the wheel back and forth to pretend you are fighting with traction....

 

there was tire noise if u hear it close enuff... and yea wt's the point turning the wheels and braking if it was fake

 

i guess you've never seen the fast and the furious.

you know that every single one of shots with the people "racing" on the cars.. the cars were on the backs of pickup trucks.

and its pretty damn easy to edit some tire screech in there.

im always amazed how gullible people are. i try to maintain a healthy amount of skepticism. im not saying this video couldnt be legit, im saying i'll believe once i've seen more.

 

Just watched it. I heard no indication of road or wind noise.

his car is not stock. i doubt he put the body kit on it and does track time and has a completely stock motor.

as for the video, it wasn't that fast? it was ~6 seconds so im guessing good clean tarmac, and decent tires?
