View Full Version : Help with parking
Naughty Boy 01-13-2004, 08:13 PM Hi all.
Me have problems parking. Always reverse park out of habit. Prob with RX is I don't know when to stop. Rear wing/spoiler obstructs view a little.
Me thinking of installing reverse beeper/camera. Has anyone done this & do u have any advice?
Thanx for your time & cheers!
Daverx 01-13-2004, 08:30 PM Hi Naughty Boy
yez, someone here oreadi install a reverse parking sensor.......(the sensor is fix at the rear no. plate)
yr question will be answered, if he;s here.......
cheers
M-ster 01-13-2004, 08:30 PM If I've remember correctly you do have the MazdaSpeed side mirror right? If you do, I'm quite sure that makes the parking of the 8 even harder as the mirrors are pretty small. The Reverse sensor might be the answer to your problem.
Mockngbrd 01-13-2004, 09:03 PM wind down window stick ur head out lo...hehehe...
that's what i do in my dad's jeep cos behind got spare tire blocking my view also.... :P
Naughty Boy 01-14-2004, 12:11 AM Thanx Daverx; hopefully I'll hear from the one u speak of!
Good memory, M-ster! And thanx for the excuse!!! ;p
Mockngbird, not so funny when I nearly hit me head!!! Plus can't do that when it's raining.
I'm interested in the rer mirror with a mini camera - but not sure if:
1. It's effective
2. It'll last
3. It's hard to install.
Thanx for all the advice u all! Cheers
Naughty Boy 01-14-2004, 12:14 AM Oh - one more excuse!
Mazdaspeed rear bumper is low - low enough to 'attack' kerbs. Had mine 'trapped' once!
I'm curious... does anyone else have this problem? Even with the original rear bumpers?
Try Swift Motion. I did my 'Magic Mirror' there. Its supposed to come with the camera but higher price of coz. Brand name is SAVV.
Enjoying myself thoroughly watching VCDs on it now.....

Mockngbrd 01-14-2004, 11:45 AM hmm..most of the time i usually stick my head out the window...
jeeps rear window with that spare tire is a pain to look out of... so no choice... even when rain sometimes i will also havto do it...
RX8_666 01-14-2004, 08:09 PM your exhaust will hit the curb first before your tyres. so wat i always do opens the door and gauge with your own view.( i mean there is nothing to be ashame of, worrying others might say something of your lousy skill or u wan some damages on your car
zoooooooooom

Yup, either way you might look a little silly, but hitting something look more silly then sticking your head out.:D
Naughty Boy 01-14-2004, 09:00 PM Hi Neon. Thanx ofr the advice, will try. Do u have their contacts (address, no., opening hours, etc)? And u get to watch vcd too??? Wow! NICE!!!
And no guys, me not trying to 'save face'. Some kerbs r low enough for the exhaust to miss, but high enough for the rear bumper to hit. Me have a 'souvenir' already... :(
Off your right along Desker Road. Quite a run down shop but u cant miss it. Name's SWIFT MOTION. Look for SAM and qoute my name or NO.12 :D

yup! He is also a renowned tuner (as in audio). If you've got good $$, he can soup up your sound system as deep as your pocket can go.
Naughty Boy 01-16-2004, 10:42 PM Thanx Neon & M-Ster! Will consider going after CNY. Hopefully me get a good 'harvest' this year!!! Cheers
