PUR NRG 01-14-2004, 01:54 PM Last year was the first time they held the event. They used Mazda 6's. San Francisco was their first event, which I attended. Overall organization was okay although I caught a snafu that gave me someone else's time result. "Professional instruction" was minimal and anyone who's autocrossed already knew. This year they claim more instruction but I'm not sure what. The karts were fun but you have to pay extra. The test rides were boring compared to the "high speed" stuff. Overall it was an enjoyable way to spend the afternoon. I plan to attend this year as well. ________ VAPIR NO2 (http://vapirno2.net) bern 01-16-2004, 02:14 AM So-Cal RX Club Details for REV IT UP: DETAILS (http://www.socalrxclub.com/calendar/calendar_detail.asp?ID=54) The annual, Mazda sponsored, nation wide auto-x competition is back!! Please go to the MAZDA REV IT UP (http://www.mazdarevitup.com/home/f_default.asp) website for full details, and to sign-up. The entry fee is only $40. Last year was a blast, and this year promises to be even better. If you'd like to join us in So-Cal, remember to sign-up for the Orange County date on SATURDAY the 13th. This is when the club will attend and participate officially. Hope a big group joins us this year. We had fun last year and this year should be better. -Bern eccles 01-16-2004, 10:36 AM The Texas dates this year suck. The Dallas event clashes with the SCCA Solo II National Tour event in Houston, and the Houston event clashes with a proposed Pro Solo in Dallas! racerdave 01-16-2004, 10:40 AM Weird... I wonder if they're doing that on purpose to try and discourage the "top guns?" |
