I do not know if this is the right thread but did anyone have any special looking key they have for their 8? Right now i have a switchblade key from the dealer long ago but i was wondering if we can for example get a ferrari key that is uncut and program it so it can work on our 8? is this possible? As long as it is uncut it can work?

I don't "think" it would work. The RX8 has a transponder... and unless the Ferrari key is the compatible, it won't work.

So what you're really asking is a Ferrari transponder key compatible/interchangeable with an RX8 key? . . .

I'm going to say probably not. . . this is a security measure, after-all.
