View Full Version : Some UK 8 with 19's... XDEEDUBBX 01-12-2004, 02:07 PM those brits aren't to be left in the dust..check this 8 with 19's... nice and clean... XDEEDUBBX 01-12-2004, 02:08 PM another one.. XDEEDUBBX 01-12-2004, 02:08 PM last... Shadeau 01-12-2004, 02:24 PM Love the rims on those. Can't be too sure, but I believe they're GEMS Diamonds? Rolland 01-12-2004, 02:31 PM It doesn't look like those even fit in the wheel wells. They don't have speed bumps over there? brothervoodoo 01-12-2004, 03:34 PM Originally posted by Rolland It doesn't look like those even fit in the wheel wells. They don't have speed bumps over there? They look good but not practical, it will rub the wheel well especially when you put 2 people in the back seat. Gyro 01-12-2004, 03:54 PM That car looks lowered with aftermarket springs...and the offset for the rims is greater than stock. I do like the look however:D .......but as Brothervoodoo mentioned, slightly unrealistic for everyday bumps and such. Those tires cost alot of money to get the sidewalls marred up by the wheel openings. success07 01-12-2004, 04:25 PM Looks great! Though, I just can't get used to the aluminum gas cap. NAVILESRX8 01-12-2004, 04:56 PM I come from owning old-school Japanese cars, and I love the fat lip on those rims. Very nice. XDEEDUBBX 01-12-2004, 06:09 PM he is also running those HKS Hypermax coilovers...i've heard they run stiff... mikeb 01-12-2004, 06:56 PM Omg great picture I know what rims I want are those BLITZ rims? iamcanadian 01-12-2004, 08:55 PM Can anyone out there confirm the wheel manufacturer and type? XDEEDUBBX 01-13-2004, 01:29 AM check this 8 with headlight conversion.the first of its kind?? don't like it either way...i think those are mercedes headlights.. mikeb 01-13-2004, 01:46 AM that hood is sweet where the hell are you getting these pictures?????? IJM 01-13-2004, 03:04 AM Those 19's actually look nice. I wouldn't have lowered the car though. But I've worked out that you'd need 225/35 R19 tyres to get the same rolling radius, which gives you some different options for tyres. Goodyear F1's for example which are a personal favorite on my current MX-6 here in the land of rain (UK). The only problem is though, it might upset the handling. You'd probably have more grip, but it might let go more suddenly and be less forgiving at the limit. Ian. mmmdowning 01-13-2004, 07:37 AM Looks good just worry about rubbin. AussieRX8 01-13-2004, 09:35 AM Hey guys, haven't got one of these beasts yet... mines on order... Get it on the 15th of May. See we only get 2 delivered here to Adelaide, Australia every month, so you have to order it the way you want, then wait. I've ordered the base manual model in a plan to modify the standard features anyway. In concern to those rims. In Australia, TSW is the manufacturer of those rims. They're available in 17's-19's. My mate just bought them for his Mitsubishi Mirage in 17x7's. Hope that helps. Michael IJM 01-13-2004, 10:20 AM Try comparing the side-on view with the side-on view of one with the standard UK 18" wheels. I'm fairly sure that it's got a larger wheel/tyre radius than the standard car. Thus it has effectively changed the gearing. And from the look of it, it looks as though it's going to cause rubbing. Anyone agree? Ian. mikeb 01-14-2004, 05:36 PM I dont think these are TSW rims does anyone know? EXA4DRIVER 01-14-2004, 08:20 PM Originally posted by mikeb I dont think these are TSW rims does anyone know? These are pretty similar, but they are a 1 piece wheel. Antera 343 http://www.cecwheels.com/images/152.jpg XDEEDUBBX 01-14-2004, 11:39 PM yea...definetly not tsw's...these are a two piece of some sort... T666YPR 01-15-2004, 07:14 AM They must be Khan's RSC series but dont know how to post the pics! specman 01-15-2004, 08:53 AM I recognise that car!!!!!! I am absolutely positive it is the dealer principals car from Barnetts Motor Group in Kirkcaldy Fife Scotland. His car had the absolute accessory works put on it prior to the wheels and he did say that it was going down to Bradford West Yorkshire to get fitted up with them. You can see more of them at http://www.v12specialistcars.com/kahnconversions/conversions.html or www.kahndesign.com I have seen the car after fitment and it is a real cool add on but not for me with the bumpy Scottish roads!! brothervoodoo 01-15-2004, 10:56 AM I asked over at the rx8ownersclub.co.uk forum and "specman" was able to recall the specifics. Thanks for the help. mikeb 01-15-2004, 01:34 PM thanks guys their is a one day blowout sale in LA at CEC on 01/17/04 and I'm looking for rims specman 01-15-2004, 02:07 PM Checked on the way home and Barnetts have sold their Dealer Principals car as pictured above along with the wheels which I think were sold to someone else. They have just got in another set of Kahn RSC-II wheels for anyone interested in them. Pictures above were taken in Bradford West Yorkshire. SHOWOFF 01-24-2004, 12:09 PM I have 19'S now and those look MUCH bigger, even if my car was lowered the wheel wells would not be that full. I think it is possibly a 20" wheel. RO_JA is working on a 20" custom offset for me as well. brothervoodoo 01-24-2004, 01:33 PM They are 19's. RX8on19s 01-24-2004, 06:28 PM Here's mine Kas 02-01-2004, 06:28 AM thats TUFF! i like. geng 04-20-2004, 10:50 AM that is sweet.. what sizes are the wheels and tires? Actually... stock 225/45 18 Mazdaspeed A-spec 225/40 19 (this gives you the closet fit to stock diameter). 245/35 19 is not a bad alternative. orbist 05-01-2004, 06:17 PM A couple more shots, without the suspension failure... (courtesy of a thread on uk ownersclub also from specman) orbist 05-01-2004, 06:17 PM close up Mikelikes2drive 05-01-2004, 09:50 PM i like the stocks better.... although i've been lookin at aftermarket rims, the stock rims keep looking better and better ::shrugs:: GrRx8MaZdA 11-02-2004, 09:17 AM The blue one seems wearing 19s but i can't believe that the red has 19s!!?? They look like 20s..But maybe the suspension make them look bigger.... Nice Rim but i wonder which dimensions for the tires?? |
