The forums are getting more and more cluttered and the search tools is becoming more and more useless.

I can think of a very simple way of making things significantly easier.

Here's an example on a working forums:

http://forums.bit-tech.net/forumdisplay.php?f=4

All threads are required to have a Prefix, which makes it significantly easier when browsing for a certain topic.

For example, the "Interior, Audio, Electronics" forum is filled with lots of info, but it's such a broad forum that things get lost, having Audio, Interior, Electronics prefixes would make it so much easier to just find something relating to Electronics.

my interwebs skills sucks:wallbash:

then yeah, i agree in certain areas of the forum this could be quite useful. in other areas, it could require heavy moderation to keep things from becoming even more confusing
