My engine bay is slightly dusty and is not the shiny black that it use to be. I was wondering if there was a simple way to clean it to make it shine again that i can do at home.

Well, unless you really look close. 05 white rx8 10-09-2009, 08:25 PM go buy some simple green i think its called (don't quote me but i think its simple green) spray it on and let sit for a couple minutes take a hose or pressure washer but be careful not to get to much water in everything take an air hose and blow out all the extra water (towel dry if you don't have an air hose) then take some armor all and spray the entire engine let it run for awhile and wipe up any extra armor all but most of it should "melt" off for lack of a better word EMart11b 10-09-2009, 08:38 PM Qtips and paper towels. I was wondering if there was a simple way to clean it to make it shine again that i can do at home. I sprayed this stuff in the bay, then hosed it off. Bingo, looks great. Got it at the "Dollar Store." Really. Months ago. No rubber parts look bad since, so I guess it's OK.:D: Myardor 10-10-2009, 03:41 PM + 1 what they said rev8 10-10-2009, 03:46 PM I sprayed this stuff in the bay, then hosed it off. To make it shiny again, use CD2 Engine Detailer (Autozone carries it). Follow the directions on the can and your engine will look new again, guaranteed.
