how to power ps2 (noob question) please help

I have a noob question about electronics. I want to place a PS2 in the car but I have no idea how to power it. Is there some kind of wiring from the fuse box or something I can use to wire up the PS2 ? Sorry if this sounds stupid , I don't have much experience with car electronics.

The PS2 runs on alternating current, whereas automobiles run on direct current. What you need to do is invest in a DC-AC inverter which plugs into your car's cigarette lighter or direct to battery power and ground, and provides you with an AC outlet like those found in the walls of most modern homes. An adequate inverter should cost you about US$20 from an electronics store.

thanks for the help , I am really new to the whole car electronic idea , hmmm seems like I'm going to try to run it from the battery , is there a hole some place under the hood that the wires can go through and goto the inside of the car ? I want to make it looks neat and not run a wire from the cigg lighter. Do I have to drill holes to reach a wire from the battery to the inside of the car ?

u can run it to a fuse or anything that has power, and also ground it to the frame of the car. thinking a ps2 in the glove box would be ideal for a newbie install like urself. simply ground it to a metal frame. 12v time!
