I've just started this summer going out for lapping on some local track. This sunday I ran about 140 km(87 miles) over a three hour period driving 10 laps, cool down in pit and go again on a very technical track, e.g. hard sharp corners, hi revs, lots of redlining, mostly 2nd-3rd gear with lots of braking, only one real straight-away, only time in 4th. My car is NA and no major mods. Plus the drive to and from them track 185 km(115 miles) each way.

Oil Consumption Question?
Is it normal for our cars under the above conditions to use a liter(quart) of oil in a day?

Track is 2.23 km or 1.3 miles

 

Yes, quite normal.

Did your exhaust tips get nice and white also The car will run great the next few days also, enjoy it till your next trip to the track.

Yea, the car has never ran better that it has the last 3 days. Hope it stay like this, don't about know exhaust tips, was more interested in the brakes & tires at the time. Wash the car yesterday the exhaust tips had a real nice carbon build-up but there shiny again.
