GTSPEC is my favorite among those looking for increasing the strength of their chassis and improving their handling on the street weekend warrior vehicles. With their advanced designs, precision engineering and testing they cannot be beat. Taking a fresh approach and actively testing and revising their units they never rush their products and vigoursly test their products.
Employing state-of-the-art processes, all of their suspension products are CNC cut, forged, precision cast or stamped to provide superior fit, finish and performance. In order to distinguish their products from conventional “strut bars”, we use the highest quality Military-Grade materials such as 7075/6061/6063 aluminum and titanium. All of their Type F chassis braces are constructed with their Hollow-Quad-Wall design to add strength without adding extra weight.
With their CAD designs you can see the difference and taking a new approach. My personal favorite is the 6 Point under Chassis brace. With our project car being a higher horsepower car we have found it difficult to nail the front end down. We had tried going to a larger Front sway bar on the stiffest setting, getting coilovers on there and still it was missing that edge I was looking for....
By replacing the stock chassis brace right behind the oil pan and then placing this 6 point brace in its place it connects the brace in front of the oil pan giving it the support it needs and completely eliminating the flex and giving the precision cornering the car needed.
They did not stop there with the under body with the rear tie braces and rear lateral braces it finally gave the car solid balanced feel through out the car with turn in and turn out feel finally being exactly where we wanted the car.

Rotr8 10-13-2009, 09:19 PM These look brilliant Brice, I may have to splurg and get some of them,,,
One question, the rear tie brace, does it fit over or under the exhaust piping, I cant remember from your gauging interest thread,,,,
Keep it up, were the fender reinforcement bracing popular enough for you to go ahead with production?,,,
wow reading through your statement, why are you limiting the production, is this temporary or permanent???
batangisip89 10-15-2009, 11:17 PM will there also be a limit on production of the under panels?
SeeingRedat9 10-17-2009, 12:33 AM That front strut bar is like a piece of art. You will be hearing from me shortly to pick one of those bad boys up.

Race Roots 10-27-2009, 11:04 AM damn you are the best... now im debating getting it how much extra would that be?
Honestly I dont know it varies on color and what piece, the p/c has yet to see the pieces so it also helps if it is going to be a common color or very rare.
Prices are very reasonable.
man i am loving that front strut and rear strut.
stupid sub would need to be removed for the rear one though.
how does the rear lateral tie bolt on ?

ac3mastuh 02-16-2010, 09:58 AM definitely! i will take them when I get a chance to put it on, most likely sometime around late march over spring break
Rotr8 02-16-2010, 11:43 AM I will as well, I already anticipate some custom fab work that I will need to fit the rear bar around the SC, and myself paying attention to that part of the install pics as well as those sent in the install instructions have already noticed a difference in the way that bar is installed between the pics shown in this thread and those found in the pdf...

You have to slide the nut with the arm into the chassis hole and slide the bolt thru it is much easier with two people so someone can hold the bar.
It takes patience that is for sure.
Let me know if you need further guidance

Well, I have not had a chance to open her up whether it be lauching at a light or ripping through local roads. Its nice out, so the cops have been out in force.
Worry not, on Saturday I'll be doing a time attack at NJMP. I'll post my findings after the event. I wish GTSPEC made more parts for the RX8; they really make superb quality products.

HiFlite999 04-25-2010, 03:09 PM Ok, maybe I'm doing this wrong in the absence of any intructions, but I can't fit the pieces which bridge between the firewall and fender. Does anyone have detail pics of this area as installed? The problem is that the side of the trangle running back from the shock tower to the firewall area is too long for the supplied brackets to fit by a substantial amount ~1.5". I'm assuming they serve only to push out against the fender area since there doesn't seem anything to bolt it to. The triangle brace as supplied also seem to be different than the pics on the GTSPEC website, though the factory bag is indeed labelled "RX-8". Can anyone tell me if I have the right pieces and if so, how are the fender brackets fitted?
chino0314 04-25-2010, 03:22 PM Instructions are online on gtspec.com
chino0314 04-25-2010, 03:25 PM Those brackets do bolt in yu have to gone under the wheel well liner to bolt it directly to the wall of the engine bay

This is x100 easier with 2 people. One to hold the bracket in the fender and one to loosely bolt the top of the side down.
Also, don't fully tighten any of the bolts until everything is loosely connected.
GL man, this bracing is really really worth the install.

Long weekend, but it's in along with the lower front brace! What confused me was the fender brackets were shipped attached to the wrong side, no biggie once I scrolled down far enough on the GTSPEC web page to find the real instructions after being rescued by Chino0314. It's also not hard to install solo since it's easy to reach the inside and outside of the fender at the same time if the wheel and inner liner are removed completely. I did a little mod to the mod, which I'll document in the "suspension" section along with a driving report later in the week. It certainly is purrdy and the net weight gain is only around 10-11 lbs for both braces.
L337fpc 04-26-2010, 11:17 AM how did your lower front setup go? I have a frozen bolt that is stopping me from installing it.

I had no problems, but my car is practically new with only 14k miles and it's never been in snow/salt/(and for the last 3 years)rain. Rust would make it harder. The bolts are secured with a locking compound which doesn't help either. You might have to resort to an impact wrench at the local muffler shop.

I suppose that is meant as a word of wisdom to us unworthy ones, I'm way to dumb to know what 'Ttt' means.

HiFlite999 05-02-2010, 06:39 PM Still don't know what he's talking about. By the way, I had a 600 mile weekend to run down to the Indy RX8 Club Mazdafest and was very pleased how the car ran even on the Interstate. Yes, the front is stiffer, but the ride is not seriously compromised.

JantzenRX-8 06-21-2010, 11:33 PM I thought i remember reading something during the development of these parts that there was going to be a brake master cylinder brace on the 6-point. Did that not make it in to production or am i just making things up?

It did not make it to the final production costs was going to be way high

Kind of a shame. I think the vehicle benefits more from adding a brake master brace then upgrading a strut bar. But thats just IMHO.
The braces do look pretty and fancy though.
JantzenRX-8 06-22-2010, 01:53 PM Do we know if the axial flow brace works with it. I kind of doubt it does but you never know!

Dunno, but the car benefits a lot from the 6-pt brace. It doesn't look too hard to come up with some handmade add-on to support the brake master cylinder ... but it wouldn't be that pretty blue color!

Adding just that one small piece I would have had to raise the cost ~$100 if I remember correctly. I didn't want to take the risk of adding it and having a very expensive strut bar that doesnt sell ;)

That is a negative :(
