Bump. Still need to sell this baby. Any offers out there? Willing to consider reasonable offers at this point. 20 weeks until I need it gone! It's a girl by the way! (my baby, not the car)

When was the engine replaced and what is the remaining warranty on it?

It was replaced sometime last year, I will have to check my paper work for the exact date and the warranty info. I will post later this evening when I get home from work.

So sorry it took me so long. I lost the paperwork and had to call and get another copy. I am going by to pick it up today. The warranty is good through 2012 or 100,000 miles on the motor. So the car has 61,000 on it now so it's good for another 39,000.

Edit: I also have dropped the price to $13,000 I really need to get rid of it. My wife is freaking out that the baby will be here in 3 months and I still have the car.

pic shows 58k on the odo.

i'm guessing 05-06. Looks like a prima facie pretty good deal.

clean carfax?

is it a new engine or a rebuilt engine?

the rx8 is actually a great car for a baby. Ive got a one year old and bought the car when my fiance was pregnant because it was capable of handling a baby with ease. trunk is big enough for a large stroller. the rear doors make it easy for getting the kid in and out of the rear seat.

...but you got to do what you got to do I guess..

you know, maybe you should sell your actual baby instead if there's that big of an issue.

The baby excuse is BS. That is why your wife drives an SUV or some shit. I have two kids (14 and 10 now) and it was never an issue.

I don't understand why so many dudes are selling their cars because their wives are about to have a baby. My kids fit just fine in my Mustang GT Convertible..they loved that car as they got older. Now they love the '8. My wife had sedan then a mini-van, so....I'm at a loss of why you have to get rid of the '8. There is plenty of room for the child and a safety seat plus they have the new tether anchor thingy to make sure the car seat stays in place.:scratchhe

Sorry, Miles are now at 64K, Years is 2004, Engine is Brand new from Mazda on their dime, Baby is the excuse Stroller won't fit and no my wife does not drive an SUV or "Some shit" Yes I have put it on craigslist. THe dramatic drop is because my wife is due in 7 weeks. I am letting it go pretty much for what I owe. I have been trying (half assed mind you) to sell it for a long time now. Car fax is good. It's been treated well during my ownership. It will need rear tires in the near future.

Keep the 8. Your wife is nuts. I have a 6 month old and he rides in the back easier than my girl's camry.

Sorry brother, no way you will get over 10-11k for it (unless you find a sucker). Local guy here bought a clean loaded GT with less miles than yours and new engine and dealer maintained (old lady with a 6 speed, haha) for $10,000.00.

XD good luck getting rid of it =p ur gonna end up short of what u owe. just sayingg

might wanna change ur price on ur original post,

and for comparison, i got my 04 ss GT 2 years ago with 41k mile for 15k, completely clean and problem free, so add 2 years to that with an engine swap. with a minimum 1k less each year, u'd start @ 13k, deduct mileage, 12k. deduct engine swap, 11k?

anywhooo good luck >.<
